Very very interesting
The archaeological museum building looks new and the exhibition in the basement is organized chronologically from neolithic into bronze age and end with Middle ages. Many bronze warrior statues were very impressive. Here all the texts are both in Italian and English with many pictures and maps. Once you go upstairs to see the rest of the museum things become very confused, there's a mix of neolithic, Roman and nuraghic finds - with no clear pattern and no English explanations. On the top floor there's a exhibition with stone statues which has English descriptions, but it reads like more like poetry than a scientific explanation of the finds, so the context is lost to the visitor. Many displays were not functioning, although they looked quite new. Could have been made much better, now it looks like a quickly finished project
Nice museum but only part of the texts have translations next to the Italian texts.
This is an absolute architectural gem, perfectly combining modern concrete with ancient walls. Well worth a visit even if you don't enter the museum, which is also good
Good simple museum bout sardegna history !
The early bronze pieces are wonderful. Difficult to understand the art that this age was capable of until you see these. The museum is so well laid out with descriptions in Italian and English.
Was a nice museum not exactly amazing but worth a visit
One of the very best local archeological museums. It is a Museo Nazionale, but very focused on the archeology of Sardinia and the various cultures that have lived here, starting with the fascinating and little-known Nuragic people. Also, extra points for the effort this museum makes to make the information and experience accessible to those of us with disabilities.
Amazing! Very well thought and designed, to keep the visitor's interest active till the end!
