Currently undergoing a refit. When it’s completed it will be a fantastic place to learn about the design, construction and environment that is Canberra.
Love the look out from the top of the hill. My fiancé took me to have a lovely picnic to over look the lake and it was so beautiful. The parklands surrounding the exhibition are lovely and great for children to explore.
You should visit this place first when you arrive at Canberra. This place provides a complete guide to Canberra's recreational place. There are interactive map, photo booth, and even marchandise. You can also see Canberra's biggest water from the terrace. And that is a great view.
the place is cool. you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere while feeling the breeze of the cool breeze while sunbathing on the edge of the lake. the parking lot is big so it makes us no trouble to put our car. this place is often crowded on weekends
Great place for planning your trip to Canberra and The greater Canberra region. The centre has wonderful helpful staff and a beautiful view of Lake Burley Griffin, The Library and National buildings across the Lake.
Amazing place! Fun and interactive learning space about the planning and design of Canberra. Great for school groups, visiting tourists and for families on weekends. The exhibition is free and has a lego area for the kids! Canberra Information and Visitor Centre and cafe in the building so a hub for all your tourist needs. Grab a coffee head on in!
The staff are helpfuland it was great tonlearn anout Canberra's history
You get all the information you need at the visitor center. The exhibition gives a good overview of the history of the city
Tired displays. Limited scope. No Brisbane or Hobart stands. Its free... good!
Floriarde wonderful experience took grandchildren they too were fascinated and in awe. The displays were creative and well thought out. A lot of people including myself took the chance to photograph the venue sights . The lake water features due crowds especially the globe. Food prices up market prices not all that suitable for ordinary families. Only thing purchased on way out was an ice cream at regular pricing. The walk was at least near 2km away from where car was parked. But am pleased we saw it. Highly recommend to view .
Since it was designed purely as a capital of a country I am pleased with it was nicely designed and much pleased with its layout. The facilities spreads around are equally good and well controlled. I love to live in Canberra due to its low density in population.
