World Heritage Site. Well run. Wish it received more government funding and therefore job creation. Many beautiful, tranquil, safe pockets of restorative nature. If you choose the lesser travelled paths then you can find almost complete silence, with the gentle sounds of nature layering the experience. Such magnificence right here on our city's back door step. There is a succinct artwork at the fan Bridge, Foreshore, which has a tight, tall metal rainbow arching elliptically over a base, with the words "it's beautiful here". That is Cape Town in a nutshell.

Table mountain is the iconic landmark of Cape Town. A real must see. I'd suggest if u want to go up, u must get up real early and head up to the cable way lot. Queues get very long. Also visits up to the top are weather permitting. It's picturesque beauty is well worth it. If u really energetic u can hike up table mountain. But it's advised for the fitter person. And take water with u.

I visited the Table mountain a couple of times during my 2 weeks in Cape Town in February 2018. The first time was while taking the local sunset tour that was simply magic! The audio guide was well prepared, well paced ans super full of interesting facts; the drive was splendid - with the sun bathing the whole mountain and the sea in a glorious light; and the sunset unveiling itself to all visitors at the top of the mountain.... plus the vegetable samosas and AMAZING hot chocolate sold by locals at the top. Don't forget to pick up a jacket - it gets chilly up there once the sun sets. Enjoy!

So many great activities are supported on the side of this mountain. Gentle walks with kids, extreme walks for the adventurous, mountain biking, rock climbing. As with all outdoor adventures you have to know where you are going and must let others know. And, always pack supplies. Just because the city is right against this mountain it doesn't make it any less of a formidable giant. Unfortunately there are incidents of crime in some secluded spots so you need to be fully aware of best routes and travel in groups.

One of the jewels of Cape Town. There are dams on top of the mountain range, gorgeous peaks and awesome hikes on all sides. Devil's Peak is a personal favourite of mine and is less popular, which makes for a better experience. Lion's head is a great sunrise/sunset hike if you don't want something too strenuous. Platteklip Gorge is the default hike up Table Mountain, which is great for first timers.

Worth doing but hold in to your children. The place is safe but there are plenty of little walls they can climb up and fall. I really recommend to hold them all the time if they're anything like our wild bunch. We loved the views. Do bring your own binoculars birds and mamals to be observed. Not crowded off season but I heard it's full in high season. The price is quite high checks on line for details. The world is home ;)

The mountains are breathtaking and are just within a few minutes drive to camps bay beach. There are mini-marts and restaurants that serve awesome food. So I wouldn't worry too much about taking some extra hours up there. Definitely a list of places I would visit again

I had the luck to ascend table mountain on a clear, warm and cloudless day. The views are breathtaking and the guided tour very interesting. You can have long walks on the top and the bar, restaurant and shop are very well kept. Be aware there is almost no parking at the cable car lower station so the best option is to take a cab.

I beautiful park that is actually massive. 99% of people won't go beyond 200 meters of the to of the cable car. Go even a little further in any direction and everyone disappears like magic. There are so many great hiking routes across the mountain. India Venster for the way up and Skeleton Gorge for the way down. Not for the faint of heart.

Nice views out over the ocean and some nice spots to have a braai. Some Tidal pools as well for swimming. Some animals here and there. Personally go in with a Wild Card.. Normal prices for day visit seems a bit steep, however there is often queues at the entrance.

Amazing views. Fresh air. Mountains and sea side. What more do you need? More things to see personally. It was really pretty much perfect.

Great. A table indeed. How amazing the work of God is. So flat. There is a cafe and a shop on the mountain. The cable car takes three minutes to go up but for those that are daring you can climb up and down. Great place to bring family and friends

Iconic, darling. Just ICONIC!! There are sooo many ways to skin this cat. What I mean is... if you have time on your side and just a little fitness then you can take one of he MANY hiking trails to the summit. If you’re not able to hike then by all means take the cable car. The most popular and easiest way to the top is Platteklip Gorge. But if you dare take one of the less congested trails, you will not be disappointed. The flora and fauna on these less popular routes is astonishing and you’ll even encounter a mountain goat or 5 along the way up. Just be safe and have someone who’s a pro help navigate the terrain. For safety reasons, the cable car does not go up on windy days; which also means that other staff who work up there cannot make it up. Found ourselves in one such predicament on a cold and windy winter’s day and was lucky enough to find that they keep blankets in the cabinets in the bathrooms for such occurrences.
