Very informative especially for rugby fans and fanatics alike.
Very nice experience with cool features. The shop here is also nice.
We really enjoyed the interactive parts and seeing if we had what it takes to make the team. Plus, the free beer with an adult ticket made the decision really easy.
The history of South African rugby. Interactive activities to enjoy.
The Springbok experience is an excellent place to go if you enjoy your rugby. The place really makes you feel proud to be South African. There is a lot to see there in terms of the Springbok heritage and kids also get to do some interactive stuff.
Really enjoyed my visit. The interactive area is simply amazing. Got so caught up almost forgot that there was the rest of the museum to see. The place is very informative about SAs history. Has different mediums of learning about SAs rugby history. There was also a nice short movie you get to watch. There is a store inside that sells SA rugby merchandise at a relatively reasonably price. Staff is friendly and always think of you first.
Very nice. Flippen expensive. Friendly staff. They really went all out to teach you about rugby. Just a pity there is no guided tour. Free drink/beer
Not that worthy. Clean, but mostly you will see jackets. And you will get a free beer somewhere, but the ticket says not where…
Set aside a good couple of hours for this experience....awesome!
All about South African rugby. History, pictures, trophies. Every fan of rugby should visit it. Free beer with the entry ticket in a bar on the other side of the street 😉
The Springbok Experience is a world-class, modern interactive museum telling South Africa’s story through the eyes of its most powerful sport. It offers a fun and entertaining experience for the whole family and is a ‘must-do’ attraction at the heart of the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The museum features more than 60 audio visual displays where visitors can watch the history of South African rugby unfold, set among cases displaying historic objects such as famous trophies, jerseys, boots and other memorabilia. It makes a perfect venue for exclusive corporate events as well. And there are games for children and adults alike where they can test their kicking, passing, fitness and reaction skills in the interactive ‘Springbok Trials’ games zone. There’s even a flagship Springbok shop. The Springbok Experience is a museum – but much more than that – offering fun for all the family. Set at the heart of one of Africa’s busiest visitor attractions – the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town – it comes complete with its own set of rugby poles and in an elegant stand-alone building, Portswood House, overlooking the main shopping precinct. It is open from 9am to 5pm (every day except Christmas Day and closed on Mondays, except for the period between 1 December and 16 January each year) and takes visitors on an interactive journey through the fascinating story of South African rugby from the 1860s right up to modern times. It also tells the ‘hidden’ story of black rugby history for the first time and pulls no punches in placing rugby in South Africa’s social history as a sometimes divisive and ultimately unifying force. If you’re wondering what to do in Cape Town, you must visit the Springbok Experience.
It was very informative, got to learn about the origins of our beloved game... More about people that have influenced the game as we know it today.
Very well done. I love that it is so interactive. I'd absolutely recommend. While it's really just my husband who is the rugby fan, my daughter and I enjoyed it as well.
The welcome was totally awesome!! To see all the trophies and just to go back in history and tell them to the younger generation! TOTALLY AWESOME!!! I will surely cone again
What a great time we had. Learned a lot about rugby that i didnt know. Good shows. Nice games to play on screen. Great value for money. Friendly staff. Nice shop to buy all rugby needs. Dont miss it
