Roald Dahl Plass is a public space in Cardiff Bay, Cardiff, Wales. It is named after Cardiff-born author Roald Dahl, and is located on the coast along the south of the city centre. The square is home to the Senedd (Welsh Parliament Building) and the Wales Millennium Centre, a performing arts centre. The bowl-like shape of the space has made it a popular amphitheatre for hosting open-air concerts.

Nice place, often have festival. Even if not lots of restaurant ready to greet your taste buds.
I really like how this space is used for events and festivals. It's great to have it in the middle of the bay.
I visited Cardiff Bay with family, during the International Food and Drinks Festival today. It is a great experience in a breezy late afternoon. If it happens to be around this weekend, don't miss the chance to check it out. The bay itself is a live spot of several café and restaurants as well as bout tours, etc.
Great place Cardiff food festival on a hot day. Nice breeze coming off the water and a group of friendly people.
Honestly just go. The view is amazing and the walk is calming and clean. You'll end up leaving feeling super refreshed
I LOVE Cardiff Bay! I don't want to speak too highly of it as I've met people who aren't it's biggest fan. There's just something about the atmosphere that brings me here again and again. There are tons of amazing restaurants and bars each with there own unique selling point.
Nice small place for kids and somehow adults entertainment.
Beautiful place, parking is a bit difficult but other than that amazing food and sight seeing xxxx
Long waiting time to get on the boats but overall it was good
Great walking eating opportunities. Nice playground for children. It has a great history with the harbor and docks nearby
Cardiff Bay as a whole is one on my favourite places to visit. From Walsh cakes that melt in the mouth to rides on the carousel and not forgetting ice cream in the ice cream parlour. Take a walk round the Walsh national theatre, pier head building ( public toilet inside 👍)and take a boat trip across the bay. We paid for 5 hour parking and only just made it back to the car in time. So so so much more to explore.
Great place to visit. Go see.
Nice place. But nothing special about this place
Looking at it now it's difficult to believe that this area was once full of water allowing ships to dock. The transformation in this part of Cardiff has been absolute and it deserves the large numbers of visitors who now flock here. Overlooked by Ivor Novello and now named after one of Cardiff's famous authors its previous name- The Oval Baisin- perhaps gives a better description of this amphitheatre-esque area as it is just a sunken open area with the impressive backdrop of the iconic Millennium Centre and striking Pierhead Building. Sci-fi fans will revognise it as home to Torchwood and can visit the nearby shrine to much loved character Ianto. Close to the railway station and main parking areas this is a useful thoroughfare on a wander around Cardiff Bay but it is frequently the focal point for popular events. From the popular Food Festival and Cardiff Beach to Oktoberfest, and the Lady Boys of Bangkok there's something for everyone here. Even if there's nothing special going on its a great place for kids to ride their bikes and hone their scooter skills or the perfect spot to stand back and breathe in that lovely Welsh air whilst admiring the spectacular surroundings.
Lovely space. Definitely worth a visit in the summer!
Great morning for the Cardiff Bay 10k.
A great place for fans of Dr Who and Torchwood and everybody interested in modern urban architecture
Nice place. Central to lots of things to do.
Love this place. Great for a walk, and ice cream and a coffee. Makes a nice weekend distraction. Red dragon over the road and a nice walk round to the barrage.
Very interesting and great location too!
Great day out with the kids beautiful scenery.. food was overpriced but kind of expected that. Great day out.. although I will avoid the beach part next time as there were fleas in it I gathering not every one kept their dogs off
A nice place plenty going on
Great place. Had some nice photos here.
