Great place to visit - with 100's of experiments for you to try and then understand the science behind. The day I went it was raining and so was busy, but with all the experiments and the available space there always seemed to be something available and there was never a time that we had to wait. The language used to describe the science was at a good level for my children (8 and 11). The science theatre is a must, and really gets the children involved and is well thought out. Didn't use the cafe, but did use the lockers and other facilities with were well maintained and clean.

I took my 3 year old here a few Saturdays ago,as a backup to the pool which didn't open for another hour. I can remember going here when I was proably 6 or 7 with a school trip, not sure if it had changed much but brought back fond memories. Bro g 3 I wasn't sure if he would interact with everything, bit he really enjoyed it, we spent next to 3 hours there and he wasn't ever bored. It filled up quite quickly when we arrived, buy as there is so much to do there were not waits on any of the activities. This is a fantastic place for a rainy day outing, especially with half term coming up! Highly recommended!

A great day out with the kids and pretty good value given how much you could pay for a family day out. Under 4's are free so even better. There's lots of exhibits, all of them hands on, fun and educational. There are some bits that have been there for years but they also introduce new bits from time to time. Even if you've been before you'll still have fun using all the different stations again. There are different shows throughout the day, some included in the cost and some for an additional cost but all very reasonable still and great fun for the kids. You're are given a wristband and can come and go throughout the day which is good too. A few negatives. Those under 4 probably won't get as much out of it. It's not a huge issue as they're free anyway but our three year old needed more help and lost interest in some of the more cerebral activities very quickly. They could also do with one or two more staff around to police things and help with certain exhibits. The other issue is what to do with all your stuff. They have lockers but they don't actually lock, as well as hangers for coats etc but you just have to leave stuff there on trust. Think they could improve in this area.

We went as a real mix of age groups, 5, 13, 50, 54 and 80, but there was plenty of things to occupy all of us for the whole of the afternoon. The live Christmas based science show was enthusiastically performed and great (educational) fun. The whole experience was excellent value for money. We will return!

I remember this being a little bigger and more to do, maybe I was remembering it from visiting as a kid. It's really interesting but it only amounts to about 2 hours of visiting time. The 20 minute space show was really good for the under 7's.

I love Techniquest, been going since I was a child and it never gets old. I love exploring the different demonstrations and discovering how things work. It’s a great educational experience for both kids and adults alike - and so much fun!

This is a fantastic place. Not only for kids but for grown-ups, too. Interesting facts. Visual demonstrations and explanations of everyday things around us.

Loved it! As did my 3 year old. Went during half term and it was very very busy. If you can, I'd recommend going outside of normal school holidays! Lots to see and explore though!

Great day out, our 4 and 2 year old love it there. I like that you can come and go so can leave to go for food and come back for a show or at a quieter period. Interesting, interactive displays and lots of help on hand to demonstrate 👍🏼

Great day out for the kids and adults Only dissatisfied comment was we were a party of 8. And went in at 2.55pm and payed full price.. Didn't realise to later it was half price after 3pm... It would of been nice if the lady on reception mentioned it.

A brilliant family day out. It entertained us all from 28 to 1 years old. Our youngest could do or be enthralled by most things. We ended the day watching the fire and light show. These talks are amazing and educational in a very fun and engaging way my children loved it. And Ryan and Paige the speakers did a fab job and made the science come alive. It can be busy but it's well worth a visit. Science isn't boring at Techniquest.

Fantastic place to take inquisitive children when it's cold and wet outside. Loads of fun things to do as well as tasks to complete where the children learn about basic science. Highly recommended despite being very busy at times.

Can’t knock this place at all. There is so much to do for kids here, to fix the imagination and let them engage with science in innovative ways. Café was good, a good pit stop and not at all expensive, and it’s so easy to get to off the motorway and parking is no issue at all providing you get there early enough. It’s also a short walk from the bay and its cosmopolitan feel. We lucked out with the weather but the benefit of getting to Techniquest early was that even though there’s not so much there that could fill an entire day, your band gets you continued access throughout the day so you can mooch off for an hour, and then come back and do some more… or do it all again.

Always Great educational fun. Prebooked for toddler day and got there early which was lucky as it hit very busy very quickly! The additional activities going on were great and the usual exhibits were fantastic as always .

This is a super fun place for families. Lots of interactive games and amazing technology. Our 4 year old had a blast. We paid extra to see the under 6 (yrs old) constellation show and glad that we did too. All the facilities are lovely and clean and our trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to the lovely little gift shop. Staff are really helpful and friendly.
