A truly magical place. The walled city is a 500 year old pearl of beauty. There are so many things to see and do while here, from the churches, to the public squares, to the restaurants and bars. At every turn, you will see history come alive. Try finding a bed and breakfast or small hotel inside of the walled city to truly enhance your experience.
What a great thing to do with the one you live or and or family. I recommend that you go in the later afternoon so that the sun is starting to come down and you can take in the sights and sounds of the city. Charge your phone or camera, many opportunities for pictures. Be careful at night since there are no rails and the walkways are Uneven. Enjoy the city.
Beautifully preserved with no changes,Amazing appealing Cartagena historical Walled City.Night life, cafe, horse buggies, live music 🎧 festive mode, their colourful houses, nice restaurant and bars Lamp lights it’s all about Cartagena’s walled city. I fell in Love with that part of city.Reminds you 100 years back peaceful and fantastic planned city and great life. Check pics
Whenever I visit and old quarter of a city, my best recommendation is to get yourself lost going up and down the streets. Do this during the day and evening. You get a different perspective. Even if you think you have seen all the streets, go back and discover it again. Here, there are so many enchanting plazas, courtyards, hotels, hostels, restaurants, cafes, churches and much more. I found the quarter quieter during the day and packed with people at night. I personally, enjoyed the walled city more during the day.
You must enjoy the sunsets from the wall. Best thing to do in Cartagena. It's amazing to think that it's the same sunset with the same view that other people enjoyed since the first person put a feet on this land..
