Beautiful place , fantastic if you're with kids they can run around as much as they like. Great play area & the miniature railway is fun.
Beautiful, peaceful park. Love spending time with my little ones here. Great facilities and plenty of open space.
Big park with lots of spaces to sit down. Also got benches dotted around the area. There's also a nice little cafe where you can get sandwiches and cakes. During the summer, they hold plays. This afternoon they showed The Wizard of Oz. A little further down from the park, there's a lake where you can enjoy another leisurely walk. There are also a couple of restaurants there. Grosvenor Park is a great place to relax and enjoy with family and friends.
Lovley park. Well tendered. Lots of interesting features. 12th century cathedral, beautiful church, cafe (bit slow). But you're not allowed to feed the friendly squirrels anymore. Also inexpensive model train rides during summer and a great play area for the ankle biters.
Beautiful large Victorian park close to the city centre and the river. There is a café, adventure playground, a ruined medieval church and a little ride-on railway which runs in good weather. Close to lots of other attractions in Chester and has a programme of events. Excellent place for a picnic. Some of the paths are quite steep and can be difficult with a wheelchair or pushchair.
A beautiful park with lots of mature trees, spectacular flower beds, well tended lawns, a highly rated cafe and lots of squirrels for my Jack Russells to chase! The children enjoy the little train that runs around the far end near the cafe.
Gorgeous park. Really friendly squirrels. Nice clean toilets. Beautifully maintained flower beds and lawns. Great mixture of play equipment for children in a nice securely fenced off area. The miniature railway is a huge hit, too.
Nice park for playing with your kids. There's a small train that operates when the weather is good.
Beautiful park with lovely walks and mature trees. Take nuts for the squirrels and they'll feed out of your hand! Playground and mini railway ride for kids.
Beautiful park with high level of maintenance. Local wildlife include squirrels and moorhens roam freely. Large play area and immaculate public toilets.
A great city centre park with the cheekiest squirrels you'll ever meet. There's usually some well kept formal planting areas. And plenty of space just to relax and catch the sun. If you have small kids then don't miss the playground and mini railway. Otherwise they'll just enjoy running around.
Very nice. Neat and clean. Very well maintained
We loved it with the kids they enjoyed a good run around and saw wildlife closer than we have at any other park
Lovely green space and formal park next to the River See but also in the city centre. Good cafe and seasonal miniature train.
We loved this place it's really relaxing and nice for families. And the very friendly squirrels were awesome
Had a great time with our grandsons at the park then had lunch in park cafe we all had toasties which were lovely and hot chocolate they had a scrabble game and we played for over an hour !thank u Grovener Park for a lovely time
Perfect place for a stroll. I love it during each of the seasons. Full of flowers in spring and summer, full of hues in autumn and melancholic in winter. Bring some peanuts for the squirrels and they will surround you like a pack of hungry wolves!
The park itself is lovely and well maintained. There are loads of squirrels at the park that are really tame and quite happy to get up close with people. Great experience for the kids especially if they're into animals. Seen a few people feeding them nuts that i believe you can buy at the park (i didnt see where though). There is a reasonably priced cafe serving cakes and ice creams etc and although the waitress serving us wasn't the best it didn't detract from what is a lovely place to spend the afternoon.
