Our tour guide was lovely. We really enjoyed seeing this beatiful home. It was under restoration while we were there. We found the Dana House in Springfield was a much larger home. Both good examples of Wright's work.

One of Wright's early masterpieces is a must see. The functional layout of contemporary residences owe much to Wright's genius. It is definitely a thing to do when visiting Chicago. The guides are knowledgeable and insightful; tours are an hour to an hour and a half depending on the package. Tour fees help with the restoration of the building.

If there's one reason to visit Robie House, this edifice is a prime example of the prairie school of design, developed by Frank Lloyd Wright as a characteristically Midwestern architectural school of design. Though I visited this place on a class trip back in college... that was over a decade ago! Even so, the experience was that memorable.

Beautiful home! The tour provided a great look into the property's history as well as Frank Lloyd Wright's work. Home is in the process of renovation. The guide on our tour of the Rookery suggested viewing the Robie House while the University was on break; a tip we really appreciated.

Amazing home and well preserved. The tour is well worth it so you can see how the house looked when it was built. The tour guides are friendly and informative. There were a few children on the tour but young kids may find it boring. Overall well worth the visit.

Amazing staff and wonderful volunteers. The tour is extremely interesting and informative, you get to see the house at your own pace with the guide and the gift shop has some wonderful items. They are currently going through a renovation but don't let that keep you from going - it's totally worth it.

As knowledgeable docents explain, Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House at 5757 S. Woodlawn Avenue in Chicago not only exhibits his mastery of Prairie style architecture but also shines as an icon of modern architecture. More than a century has passed since Wright designed the Robie House, making his ideas and their execution a striking testament to the longevity of his genius. You'get a feeling for the Wright mind as you learn about his methods and processes -- from seemingly inconsequential decisions to vary colors of mortar between bricks, to cantilevered structures that brand the House as a Wright masterpiece. The tour is more than worth the price of admission. If you're in Chicago, don't miss it.

The best example of Prarie Architecture, the preservation is in the process of restoring the house. Great opportunity to see behind the scenes of the house. A must go see!

Beautiful house. It is currently under construction and several of it's most beautiful rooms are blocked off. You can see into the rooms for the most part, but what you see is certainly not the detail you expect. For now the tour focuses on the upstairs and the kitchen area. If you are in the area frequently, I'd hold off to visit until construction is complete.

Going without knowing anything about Frank Lloyd Wright, I feel like I learned a lot both about him as a person, as well as his style and architecture of the time. Great, informative tour even with the construction to renovate a large portion of the house. Worth a visit if you have an hour or two and you're in the area.

A very disappointing experience considering that this is one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpieces. I’m glad they’re doing renovations, but it does keep you from seeing the whole house. They offered a $2 ticket to come back once renovations are done, but that doesn’t help out of town visitors. No furnishings other than some FLW designed chairs that weren’t original to the house, which makes it hard to visualize the house as it was. The most disappointing aspect, though, was that our tour guide was terrible. He was very nervous and kept referring to his note cards; it almost felt like he hadn’t had any training at all. The experience and tour are much better at the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio in Oak Park.
