The Stephen the Great Monument (Romanian: Monumentul lui Ștefan cel Mare) is a prominent monument in Chișinău, Moldova.
The monument to Stephen the Great was designed by architect Alexandru Plămădeală in 1923. It was erected near the main entrance of the Stephen the Great Park in Central Chișinău. The monument was completed in 1927 and opened on 29 April 1928 (to replace the monument to Alexander II of Russia, destroyed by the Romanian authorities in 1918). The total cost of the monument was 4.000.000 lei.

Very nice statue of Stephen the Great, a former great ruler of Moldova (made of the Republic of Moldova together with Moldova Region from Romania). Nice landmark too.

A nice central location at the point of the primary historical strip. At the entrance to a beautiful park, Stefan is honored as a sort of founding father of Moldova, this is a revered man and a respected monument.

A nice place to contemplate in the city center. During the summer you can rest on the stone benches, but during winter you would find the too cold.

Monumentul unuia dintre cei mai mari domnitori ai Moldovei. În jurul monumentului totul este amenajat foarte frumos, din păcate același lucru nu se poate de spus despre monument, a văzut timpuri și mai bune. In rest este un loc perfect pentru întîlnirea cu cineva.
