Absolutely wonderful park with loads of play and public utilities for young and young at heart people. There are no shortages of callenging and casual areas where you could have fun or just sit back and relax. Word to the active people planning visit: wear silky or slippery trousers if you want to make the most of the slides, rubber shoes for active areas or slippers for everywhere else. There's also a spot where you can have a barbecue and picnic tables, even a place where you can go feeding. Parking space is ample but will be easily filled during peak hours, but worth the wait though. Toilet is just across the park with multiple neat and tidy stalls. Would recommend you come in late afternoon and beyond though if you really want to make the most of your trip. Have fun!
This playground is better suited for older children. The slides are steep and fast. The water section is very slippery and dangerous, I saw a few kids fall on the wet concrete and fall. Ended up settling for the sandpit, which was a bit plane, but great for kids to use their imagination.
The best playground ever. There is so much to do here 2 hours wasn't long enough. From water play to slides and swings to balance obstacles and flying foxes. This was fun for the whole family. A few food caravans on site to for those much needed snacks.
Awesome park! They've thought of everything, and the kids are all having a fantastic time every time we go! A huge asset to Christchurch.
Great outdoor playground in the heart of the city, suits kids all range. Easy care and toilets nearby. Can be very crowded during weekends and holidays. Ample parking in the area. Great place to take the kids out in a sunny day.
This place is O for Awesome! My sister and I took her kids here during the school holidays and it was packed out but still retained enough space to give all the kids something to do. Her kids are 5, 3 & 1 1/2 years old. There is coffee and snack food facilities here and with a packed lunch you could spend a day here during the summer. One note though is that I would NOT recommend you let the little ones, under 5, go up to the top of the spiral slide by themselves. I went with the 5 & 3 year old boys and it is mayhem up there with little visibility for parents on the ground. I counted, on 2 occasions, 6 kids in total crying when they got to the top due to getting jostled about on the hectic climb up.
This is a new modern play ground in the centre of Christchurch built after the earthquake which has become very popular. Can parks can be hard to find as families stay a long time so perhaps put a 2 hour time limit on the signs so everyone can enjoy the play ground. There are several toilets here as well as some food stalls.
❤ this playground so much - kids never want leave! Very popular on a sunny day in school holidays. Recommend 1 adult per child when busy if kids need watching. It is hard to watch them with one pair of eyes if they don't stay together.
Great place for kids. Not as busy as it looks in carpark. Thirteen and still loved their hour there
I enjoyed it although we I came here I was climbing up the slide with my 5 year old child and a child above us started peeing all over the slide we went down covered in urine. we went to the parent who was taking care of the urine child the father of the child stood up and smacked my 5 year old child in the face. Make sure you don't confront any child who has pissed their pants because they are likely to have male pigs for fathers.
