I used to go to the Capitol Theater in my teens. It's great to go back. I saw Mary Poppins there when it came out in the 60's. I'm going to see it there again in a few weeks. Comfortable, clean and fun.
Shows have been enjoyable but staff ruins the experience. After the staff (2 men) one frisking me with a metal detector and the other digging through many pocketbook with his dirty gloves, the one digging through my brand new clean bag with his dirty gloves seemed to enjoy it. First of all, it's disgusting that they have a man dig through a woman's personal items in the first place, but his gloves are already filthy, and he was digging through my personal items for a long time as if he enjoyed invading my privacy. This is sexual and personal harassment in my opinion. If they're going to be that disrespectful, at least have a woman do it, and dig through men's pockets and jackets equally.
Saw Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Great performance. Venue seating is poorly setup, the floor has a shallow slope and all the seats are directly lined up when behind the other so if anybody with a big head is sitting in front of you you will have to spend the whole show trying to look over their shoulder to see anything. Also air conditioning would be nice especially with a full house.
Love this "Old School" theater that has been preserved. Saw David Foster in concert & was glad I had a seat in row 23. Acoustics we're good & I was close enough to the stage to really feel connected to the show. Don't think I would love sitting in the back of the theater but the balcony seats looked close enough.
Not a bad seat in the house. Good location and plenty of free parking around. I'd give it 5 stars but they close the bar when there's 1 hour before the show is over. Be sure to show up in time because they start at advertised time unlike a lot of venues.
Good food and great prices. Love the view of the intercoastal. Servers are friendly and you feel like you're stopping by a friends house!
Very cool older theater that was refurbished. Capacity is around 500. Not a bad seat in the house. Lots of great concerts come through there.
Capital Theater is one of my favorites outlets for theater and concerts. Attending this outlet is like attending a special UNPLOG event because there is a perfect view of the event from any angle inside the theater. It has been one of my favorites vendors for CONCERTS. I just love it.
The room was a good size. Seats were not cramped. The room has good accoustics. Even from the closest balcony seat most of the stage was visible. Parking was close and easily accessible. Only downside is their concessions is really small. I recommend getting a seat upstairs as there are bathrooms upstairs that less people use. Oh and their policy of only selling seats in pairs is a real pain in the neck.
