Great experience. Clean ,well run, great food and drink. Close to the port. The Trainers are very knowledgeable and lots of hands on with the dolphins. As with all excursions they are out to make money so be warned the photos are VERY EXPENSIVE and you are not allowed to take your own photos. The snorkel here is great, especially for those who have no experience, you are in a contained area with plenty of marine life to encounter. Sting rays, eels HUGE STARFISH, Lots of coral and large fish.
This place was amazing! They take reply good care of each group and all the dolphins. The bar and a buffet are included in your admission price. Staff are taking photos constantly so no great moments are missed. It was definitely a wonderful experience.
The dolphin interaction was AMAZING. It's very interactive and the trainers are friendly and knowledgeable. Also. The food and drinks are good. My only complaint are the picture prices. For 2 pictures it's 80 USD. Overall, I had fun.
Would be 5 star if it was a little more organized and the pictures weren't $30 a piece or for $160 you can get the whole groups pics in digital format. Problem is whether you're a group of 5 or of 2 you pay $160 for all the pics. The Dolphin experience was well worth it, but they don't let you take your own pics. Food was good drinks were included, bring a towel. Facilities are clean.
We picked this excursion during our cruise on the Rhapsody of the sea and were extremely pleased with the experience . We we swam th it the dolphins and then paddle board .there was also other water activities to do. So much fun !! The area was clean and beautiful . The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. The only thing that I didn't like was the picture packages it start at $79. For 3 pictures I don't mind paying for pics but that was a ridulous price needless to say didn't buy them. Other than that it was an amazing time . Defiantly would recommend it 🦈👍
We had a lovely time there: interacting with dolphins was a childhood dream! We got to pet them, kiss them, play and swim with them, and one of them gave each of us a ride. We saw them jump 10 feet in the air and saw a baby dolphin. The reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because it seems that for the price you pay, the extras should not be so ridiculously expensive. For instance, renting a locker was $15 (we didn't do it, they also have places to stash your bags close to the swim area). They don't let you bring a phone or camera near the swim area, but will take pictures of you and charge $87 for just 3 of them. Or around $300 for the whole group pictures. They do have some free cafeteria-style foods, but they are very poor quality (french fries that smell of fish oil?). But the cove is beautiful and clean, the dolphins are very happy and well-trained, so that's what matters.
If you're visiting Dolphinaris as part of a shore excursion, do the VIP experience, you won't regret it. We had a smaller group (8 vs. 20), our own private area with an infinity pool, open bar and included lunch. We had 45+ minutes in the water with the dolphins, and the staff were amazing. As many people will tell you, they make their money off the pictures with the dolphins, so expect to pay insane prices ($100+ for 3-4 photos) if you want those. Other than that, the experience was one I'll never forget.
We had a great experience here. My 6 year old son was scared to ride the dolphin by himself so my husband rode with him and then they let my husband go by himself. The pictures are VERY expensive. Had we know they were so much I would of stayed out and took picture of them myself. The food was okay but the mixed drinks were good
We had the time of our lives at Dolphinaris Cozumel. We will always remember it! Free drinks free food wonderful memories! Our trainer was very good. We got to hold and play with the dolphin Aphrodite. I highly recommend it. The gift shop and pictures were a little pricey though. My family really enjoyed it and they accommodated my disabled wife. We look forward to going back again one day to share more memories.
Had a wonderful time here! First time swimming with dolphins. They trainers were excellent. Don't know if this is always what they do, but for us they paired our group with two dolphins - one younger and one older. They used the older and less energetic dolphin to engage with the small children and adults who were nervous around the animals, and the younger dolphin for the more confident adults. Groups are mixed. They organize the groups of people who are travelling together first, and then pull the individuals and couples to fill the gaps. There is one-on-one interaction with the dolphins, but you just swim out to them a bit. You stay with your group and the trainer the whole time. I gave it 4 stars because lunch wasn't all that impressive and the photo packages are also extremely expensive. Be ready to drop an additional $145+ if you want more than a couple photos. The photos are clear, but they aren't real great at capturing your best faces with the dolphins. Overall good experience, and would recommend for a first time dolphin swim, but I'll be trying something different my next trip.
We booked this through our Carnival cruise excursion and it was awesome. We opted for the VIP Experience and it couldn’t have been better. We were greeted with mint mojitos and a cool towel after the bus ride from ship. The dolphin experience was so fun, but the food and service were what really made it an A plus experience. The only negative is that you aren’t allowed to take your own pictures and they really try to rip you off as far as the picture pricing. But, overall we loved the entire experience.
It’s dolphins. Need I say more. You get lots of time to pet and play with them then you can kayak or snorkel with the sting rays. Very cool.
I can't say enough good things about this experience. It is well worth the money. Staff were very polite and the facility is well run. I came here off of a cruise ship and was impressed by this resort type facility. I got to swim with dolphins and sting rays. As well I used their paddle board out in the ocean. The price is very reasonable and includes an American and Mexican buffet., As well, alcoholic drinks are included and the waiters are very attentive offering prompt service with the drinks. I purchased the photo package and one of the staff convinced me to purchase the video and I am glad I did. The video is an excellent way to document your trip. When I got home I noticed that my video did not have sound. I called the facility and they promptly made me a new video and sent me a download link to get it. This experience was magical for me and the family. The staff, the facilityand their dolphins are incredible. Thanks for making my vacation so memorable!
For what the place is, it's okay. The property was partly under construction and some of the materials kept falling in the water where the dolphins are kept. The view was pretty but VERY small space for the amount of guests. They to overwork the Dolphins. I would not go again. Our Dolphin got tired yet they made her continue. The trainer even said that the dolphin was tired but she would "be okay". I almost left. The food was disappointing and the place somewhat disorganized. Also, they make you pay for a locker even though it is supposed to be an all inclusive day. My family and I did have an okay time but we made our own fun with the snorkeling opportunity. The snorkeling was in a small area but interesting. When we went paddle boarding we were left completely alone in the water (open ocean tied off with a roped in area). The employee came back when our 30 minutes was up. No life guards anywhere. Hard sell after for very expensive photos (you can't being your own camera to the dolphin swim). The pics are beautiful but very pricey. I would recommend spending your money somewhere else. Go to a real snorkeling experience and skip the dolphin abuse.
the price is very reasonable for what you get. You have the chance to kayak or snorkel as well as about 45 minutes with an instructor who teaches you about dolphins and gives you individual one-on-one time swimming with the dolphins as well as in a group setting. The instructors are very well versed on how to interact properly with the dolphins and keep you feeling safe and comfortable at all times.Food and drink is provided with unlimited amount. Lockers are available for $15 as well as towel rentals for $6 you are able to purchase your pictures at the end but that is a little more money. I purchased a DVD with one photo of my large group for $39.
You'll definitely walk away with some great times and memories especially if you have kids. However, there were a few things that contributed to my 3 star rating. We were told the taxi fare was included, but after the taxi ride to the center, the cab driver insisted that it was 20 US dollars for the ride. Had the coordinator discussed it with the cab in advance I don't believe this would have happened. Here's why: on the way back to the port entrance, the person that loaded us into another cab wrote a receipt and talked to the driver in advance. The driver never insisted on any additional charge. Wish they would have done that for the ride over. While the visit was inclusive of the dolphins, lunch, open bar, kayaking and paddle boarding, they did charge extra for lockers (which you most likely will need) and towels if you don't bring your own (we brought our own). Pictures are for sale at a very inflated cost!! But they did take some great photos of us with the dolphins. Some people got special deals of the photos of they bargained with them or if you walked away, they'd follow you offering you deals or "specials" if you buy more than one. Wasnt a fair process depending on who is helping you. All in all it was a good day.
