I booked 2 activities from here. Arturo is my guide for both activities (snorkeling and playing with Rays) and would recommend him! He's knowledgeable and care the ocean. Also he take a very nice picture! 👌👌👌
We absolutely loves this shore excursion. Our guide (Edgar) made everything fun and enjoyable with humor and answering all of our questions. We had a large group (overall) and the friendly staff was phenomenal with ensuring we were all prepared and had all the gear necessary for a safe activity. The event started with a short briefing about the activity and the safe handling of the stingrays. Our guide covered everything and told us all that we needed to know. I've never been so informed when starting an activity. It was not rush and was very thorough. After, we all hung around and mingled, took pictures and enjoyed beverages from their small bar. The restaurant didn't seem functioning, but most of us didn't worry about that.
Fantastic small group experience in the off season. The guide clearly loves these animals. He was so knowledgeable. Feeding, holding and swimming with the stingrays is an amazing experience!
Stingray beach is not only a place to have fun, it is also a sanctuary for the rays, an interesting fact is that here at stingray beach they contribute and liberate rays every year to help, due to the rays not being protected. The people here are super friendly, especially our guides Arturo and Pedro, very professional, really glad I had the chance to come and not only had fun but also learned a couple things about these fascinating creatures.
5 minutes from port, Stingray Beach was fantastic! We learned a lot about stingrays, were able to pet and hold them and then on to snorkeling. Our guides Fernando and Cesar were the best! They were helpful, funny and knowledgeable. In fact, all the employees there were very kind, which made us feel comfortable. This excursion was well worth the money! Here's a tip...have your suit in and ready to go. It's very humid and sticky, which makes changing into a suit a little tricky.
A fantastic experience with rays and I loved when they brushed against your leg. The handlers are very knowledgeable and as you feed the rays you learn fun, interesting facts about the rays, then get to touch one. They are so smooth! It's like a cross between silk and jelly which is a weird and wonderful sensation. They are so beautiful. The waters are so clear you can see the rays perfectly as they come up to you and glide over your feet. During the second part of the tour, you snorkel with a whole bunch of rays, watching them glide gracefully around you, There was even a baby that was about to be released into the wild. The mob of local fish that follow you around makes for such fun and a wonderful oceanic experience.
CALL AHEAD TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT PLANNING ON CLOSING EARLY!! We did not realize that a LOT of places close early on the island if there are not ships ported on the island. We took the ferry over from Playa Del Carmen for the day looking forward to spending some time here and had the taxi driver take us there to find out it was closed. Our fault for not called ahead of time. **FYI This was at the end of April.
A wonderful family excursion from the cruise. The staff were very nice and patient. Swimming with the stingrays was very tranquil and serene.
Very fun place. Educational and entertaining. The staff is very knowledgeable and polite. All in all it was a great experience.
