Pioneer Plaza is a large public park located in the Convention Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas (USA). It contains a large sculpture and is a heavily visited tourist site. Adjacent to the plaza is the Pioneer Park Cemetery which features the Confederate War Memorial. Together, it is the largest public open space in the Dallas central business district.
The land on which the plaza sits, once railroad and warehouse property, was cleared for the 900-foot (270 m)-tall hotel and office Dallas Tower which was part of the failed Griffin Square development. The plaza and its accompanying sculpture were the idea of real estate developer Trammell Crow, who wanted an iconic "Western" sculpture in the city of Dallas and assembled a group to donate the sculptures. The $9 million project was begun in 1992 on 4.2 acres (17,000 m2) of land donated by the City of Dallas; $4.8 million of the cost came from private funds raised from individuals and local businesses. Local artists sued to stop the project and claimed that it was historically inaccurate for the city, but the project opened on time in 1994
Nice park located on Griffin and Young. Close to the convention center, Omni Hotel, Downtown and many other attractions. The park has the world's largest bronze statue collection representing north Texas' history in the cattle drives. There is also a cemetery located in the park where many of Dallas's first families are buried, as well as a monument erected by the Daughters of the Confederacy. Great spot for photography and general leisure with the family or friends.

One of my favorite here in downtown Dallas! Nice place to walk around and take pictures. Just a friendly reminder that I wish I remembered every time I went there. There are actually a few free parking spots right in front of the plaza. If you are not visiting at peak hours, you should be able to park right there.

Lovely place to visit! I wouldn’t recommend a picnic here, as it is always tourist/visitor heavy. However, it is worth the visit and is a walkable park during daylight hours. Make sure you go up the hill to the cemetery, it’s a historical bonus!

Nice enough park. Not much to do other than look at the statues. They're well made, though.

The sculptures are really good, it just feels real. The area is clean and well maintained. Good place to visit once.

Very cool place. Hard on disabled person. Smooth surface for walkers and wheelchairs would be appreciated. My grandson was enthralled, even by the cemetery. We will go again. I just have to double up on pain meds.

This is an awesome little place right off the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Quaint and quiet cemetery and historical area.

Great place to bring the family lots to see and do nearby. Tons of restaurants in the area. If visiting plan about an hour.

Breathtakingly beautiful, detailed exhibit. Such a lovely body of work, gracefully positioned in the heart of the giant city. Definitely gives you the feeling that you’re in TEXAS!

Nice 15 minutes detour on our visit to Dallas. We were able to find parking space with meter right next to the park.

Very unique park in Downtown Dallas and worth the quick trip from a visitor's perspective. Not really an activity to spend a lot of time on, but the sculptures are impressively massive and worth seeing.

The statues in this park serve as an inspiring homage to cows and to the cowboys who led them to slaughter. This park is a fun place to take pics 🐮🐮 🤠

When you start to approach the plaza, you’d think it’s a couple bulls, but keep walking and you will see a stampede. Every sculpture is different and has its own story. It’s a great place to take photos. We sat on a few of them

Cool park area, they need to water their grass a little more and definitely clean out the pond at the end of the little river. But worth the 3 block walk we did to get there.

A life size sculptural display of a caddle drive. The water feature is not on but this allows one to walk up the revine and take better pictures. There are a few free parking spots in the front of the park.
