The Bali Museum is a museum of art and history located in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia.
The museum was built in 1931 by architect P.J. Moojen, near the location of the former royal palace of Denpasar, which had been burnt to the ground during the Dutch intervention in Bali (1906), and used it as a model for its outside walls and courtyards.

Worth a visit. There are a whole bunch of "tour guides" out front that seem to have some kind of deal with the place and want to take you on a tour - complete with vendors every step of the way, but it's still interesting. There are definitely some cultural artifacts worth seeing. The guide we had was an asset in the end as there isn't much info provided with the exhibits. The architecture alone is worth the visit.

Good place to know the history and culture of Bali. I actually didnt need guide if all he say is something that is written. Please, for the guide, you better ask the visitor first, do they need or want a guide or no. In my case, the guide is came right after i got my ticket and walk along with me

So much potential but the exhibits were displayed poorly. Such a shame as many of the pieces were stunning. Unlike previous reviewers we weren't harassed at all and free to wander the exhibits and outdoor area. Entrance fee was 50k for foreign visitors. There was virtually no one here on Wednesday. Do climb the tower to enjoy a view over the park and get a bit of a breeze. The bamboo furniture on the patio outside was also nice to relax on and enjoy the views. You could hear the kids playing next door and the roosters crowing which added to the atmosphere

A great place to know in and out about the Bali culture and traditions. The museum is a home to a numbers of historical stuff including some monuments, statues and various traditional Balinese stuffs.

Tourists pays 50k. Small museum with interesting objets. Too much vendors inside. Self made guides.

Cozi museum, not to big, but enough to get an idea about the Balinese culture and myths. Be careful with the "guides" and "artisans": good explainations and nice handcrafted stuff, but a bit too pushy and overpriced. Just be sure that you accept the services because you really want.

Best place to learn about bali before you explore bali, great place to do music video klip too. We did our Asrining Tamblingan video klip at this museum.
