Just nice. Especially be if you love paintings.
Museum is not in good shape. But the love story behind it is touching.
It's a house museum who use to be the home of this Belgium painter called Le Mayeur, he lived and worked there with his Balinese companion and was even put under house arrest by the Nazis during Second World War. The place is beautiful and the whole experience was very interesting. Plus it's right by the beach 5/5.
Wow...amazing..i like this place😘😍
The art and history is interesting and the garden is nice but the museum itself is over priced and very poorly maintained. You wonder where the money is going because they're not using it to reinvest in the museum that's for sure.
Best place for visit paint of famous artist Belgian who live in Bali. Its his ex-home. U can see beautiful traditional house of Balinese at there. In front of Sanur Beach, u can ask people about this place.
I enjoyed the museum when we visited in 2011, authentic, but might need better maintanence. Shows very well the way of living of the painter. I recommend to read the novel "Liebe und Tod auf Bali" from Vicky Baum, as some aspects of her book seem to coincide with aspects of his life.
Huge potential ruined by disinterested local authorities. Horrendously discoloured printed replicas of good, strong art. This place should be buzzing with tourists, have ORIGINALS on display and continuously restorated. Looks pretty much deserted. We had to search for someone to take our money for the tickets.
antique museum... good place..
Nice place.. great architecture n design.. rich of traditional culture n story.. 👍👍👍
The museum has very nice pieces of art, the building is so beautiful. But it is a shame that everything is in such bad state. Everything is dirty and only the garden show some maintenance. The light is horrible and a lack of curatorial advice makes the experience rather disappointing.
