I've never met such nice and kind employees on a school trip. Although we did not have a school group reservation Liz one of the school group employees was much help and willing to help my school kids find a place to sit. Also the clean up crew allowed us to finish our lunches without rushing us. There are lots of interesting art pieces to see as well as activities to do. This Museum is kid friendly and I intend to come back a few more times this year.

It's always a great day at the Denver Art Museum. We loved the guided tour of Her Paris, there are just so many new details to learn about the period, relationship of fellow artists and their modern day influences. Many thanks to a great team of volunteers who are so knowledgeable and invested. We will be back for Degas! BTW, if you are a parent or caregiver, there are many resources and volunteers ready to help you actively participate in making and enjoying art at every visit. A very creatively managed program full of options.

Beautiful building architecture and some fantastic pieces here! This is a great place for all ages, including little activities for the kids. Pieces vary all across the spectrum (African art to textile art to installation pieces), and new exhibitions are always coming through. This is a place where you'll definitely want to visit several times a year and see all the new pieces they've rotated in! Highly recommend bringing comfortable shoes as there are 4 floors of collections.

I just love going to art museums. This museum was very nice. We spent almost 3 hours in a room were you can create your own art using paper or crafting wires. It's a great area for kids as well as adults. I would recommend everyone visit and appreciate art!

A delightful museum with attention to detail with each display. A Degas exhibition was the icing on the cake. A full morning which could have extended longer as desired. Unique exhibits interesting to the whole family which kept the family trip fun. I wish we had more time to play in the hand on section of the museum. A papermaking art project was available to participate in and looked so interesting as well. A must to return and see more of the exhibits. Keeping my eye out for more high end special exhibits as well.

Excellent-museum. they had a beautiful exhibit there. the volunteers had got the people through. there's no problems whatsoever, quite enjoyable, quite relaxing. the prices in the gift shop were a little bit exorbitant. but you know I guess that's how they keep themselves afloat. there's a great little restaurant called Mad Greens right directly across from them in the courtyard excellent place. excellent food, decent price. I'm not that much of a salad person but I highly recommend it

The staff and art work exhibited at the time of my arrival were amazing. The people are so nice and caring. And the art was exceptional. They had a Degas exhibit at the time and it was amazing to see all the wonderful art that he made. There was another exhibit of I believe it was Past the Tangled Present, it was so much fun very interactive and very captivating! Honestly come when you have a lot more time cause you could spend the entire day there!

Went to the Degas exhibit as a surprise after-birthday brunch with parents. The exhibit happened to be the perfect place to quietly work through my hangover while appearing to be classy and cultured (and totally NOT hungover) at the same time. All in all, my post inebriated state really let me focus on how beautiful the exhibit is. The story-line way of recreating his early history, and the gradual shift to his focuses as an artist really speak to the artistic individual and you leave with a renewed inspiration to paint and create art yourself. Truly a great experience.

Just went to see the Edgar Degas exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. It was a wonderful experience which taught me a lot about the artist. He worked in a variety of mediums and was constantly striving for unattainable perfection. Whether he was painting horses or ballerinas, Degas was fascinated by the concept of transferring the illusion of motion to a static canvas. Yet, he succeeded brilliantly in his endeavors to do so. This Degas exhibit is only being shown at the Denver Art Museum and nowhere else in America. Don't miss an opportunity to see such an eclectic, enlightening & unique exhibit.

Fantastic! Had an amazing time at this museum. The Degas exhibit was beautiful. Definitely get the narrative as it is recorded in an interesting and engaging way. Stories of his life are told through the interaction of Degas and his niece. Besides the Degas exhibit there was the Stampede exhibit which explored animals in art. These prices were some of the most compelling and thought provoking art exhibits I have ever seen. Really unusual. Spent hours in this museum and came out truly impressed.

A fun and affordable way to spend an afternoon or even a full day! Their collections offer something that anybody could appreciate, from the classics to contemporary art, sculpture, and more. The building itself is a marvel to see and fun to explore. There's lots of kid friendly activities in the museum, and even interactive areas where kids can get hands on engagement. A great museum all around, and be sure to look for their regular free days!

A beautiful museum. The architecture is quite astonishing to see in my opinion. They had a exposition about animals in art. From native American heritage to asian gods. As a fan of Asian culture it was nice to see statues and scriptures from way back when. Even saw a few things from Cambodia which can't be shared enough. Would recommend to see 'STAMPEDE: Animals in Art'.

I like the light airy spaces and the ability to move around comfortably (and that was even on a Saturday). I can see why people would want to sit in front of a particular work of art for hours; you can do this here easily. I also like the opportunity for engagement. One star off only because there's 2 sculpture patios with nothing or close to nothing. Having a mixed environment would be great.

I've been here three times and have always had a pleasant relaxing experience. The walking paths for special exhibits are well planned out with added sounds, lights, spacious viewing areas, and decorated corridors that enhance the effect of the art. I've never had to wait more than a few moments to view a piece up close. Staff is always friendly and for the most part very knowledgeable.

Such a cool art museum. The exhibits were really awesome. They showcased a Native American artist who had some really powerful art. Also had a small exhibit on Ganesha which was really cool. Very progressive and very nice staff as well. They charge 3$ more for out of towners which I thought was weird, but totally worth it.

A rather affordable world class museum with an expertly curated variety of pieces from so many cultures and time periods, from Aztec to European, B.C. to contemporary. Also a nice showcase of different mediums. The museum itself, in fact, is its own work of art; the architecture is incredible. Unlike other art museums, the DAM also has several things for kids to do. Overall, this is a true Denver gem that makes fine art and culture accessible to everyone.

The collection open to the public currently is very eclectic and a bit all over the place. The architecture of the building is neat and has some lovely, bright stairwells and walkways because of it but I was there to see art, not walls. The interactive elements for kids (and big kids) were great. I'd give the museum another try but only after looking up the exhibits beforehand.

Eclectic collections of art. I liked most of the art, but sometimes a variety of art was collected to together, and it was just a bit odd. Very friendly volunteers and docents. Huge gift shop, and small cafe. You can leave the museum and come back the same day. I left and had lunch at Mad Greens, which is just a hop across the sidewalk.

It was a very enjoyable day! A good balance of new and modern with ancient. Great displays. Easy to make it through and could spend as much and long as you want on a piece and still be able to see it all.
