Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, also called Ministry of Enlightenment of the Russian Federation (Russian: Министерство просвещения Российской Федерации) was established on 17 May 2018 after the split of the Ministry of Education and Science into two parts. The first minister was Olga Vasilieva; earlier she was a head of the parent ministry. The agency has its headquarters in Tverskoy District, Central Administrative Okrug, Moscow. (The second child agency is the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.)
