Beautiful building (especially inside). We went here to see Danny Bhoy, the size and scale made it a great venue despite being seated in the rafters! All staff were very polite and courteous. Snacks and drinks were limited but sufficient for the interval. Food was not allowed back into the auditorium which was a shame, but clearly a few other customers have ruined it for the majority by making a mess. A few more substantial snacks and wider choice of drinks would be great
Beautiful modern opera house. You can reach the opera by walking from Dubai mall. There is a nice restaurant there as well, where you can have the most expensive caviar or simply some affordable pizza or salad. This is a place that you have to visit in Dubai. Of course, international concerts, operas and other events are going on almost every week.
One of the best opera houses in the world. Well designed up to date technology great comfortable seating. Well done Dubai. Sean Connolly restaurant on the roof top is a must visit.
Outstanding architectural design. Lovely heartwarming interior design and perfect ambience and lighting. Even back upper raws have a fairly good view which is close enough. Friendly professional staff . Loved the experience would definitely do it again many times.
Among the Opera houses I have been to in Zurich, New York, Munich and others this one is definitely at the top of the list. The concerts here are as fun as Opera can get. The rules are not as strict and stiff. You are allowed to record a video, but discreetly without bothering others. The performances are engaging and the maestros take advantage of the lax rules of the house by interacting with and engaging the crowd in a way that in other places would be considered childish or silly. I attended Sean Connelly and recommend you do so too if you get a chance.
Every time you go there, you get to enjoy a fantastic night with a but of luxurious feel. Set-up is good unless you are in the seats in the back end at the top which is not recommended if you are watching a show as you won't get the chance to recognize faces from that far above! Always a pleasure to be there!
Attended on a event of HIPA photography award. Its beautiful both inside and outside the opera, Ample parking underground. The sound quality is awesome. Loved it. Hope soon I will be there again to watch a drama in perfect opera environment.Thanks.
Have been to Opera House for the first time for the HIPA award ceremony event. It was difficult to locate the parking for the event and regular opera parking was under maintenance. So we parked in the mall which is really close. The opera House is well equipped with great sound techniques and very nice seating arrangements and luxurious suits.
A bit expensive but absolutely amazing. Even if you don’t buy the best seats you will have very nice view to the stage. You can preorder your drinks for the intermission before the show and enjoy. Don’t hesitate to be overdressed it is absolutely fine although smart casual is also acceptable.
A gorgeous venue hosting high-quality performances, Dubai Opera is one of the best places in the city to spend the evening. There is wide of variety of shows here--classical, ballet, opera, musical theatre, modern dance, pop--and it's easy to buy tickets online. The bar serves small snacks and drinks, although the intervals are brief. The best bathrooms (with the most stalls) are on the ground floor. Parking is plentiful with both paid and free options. There are a number of restaurants in walking distance of the opera.
A stunning theatre. Just walking past the outside is testimony enough to the splendour of the architecture. It struck me that the inner and outer design might have been inspired by some nautical themes. A tribute to the arts, akin to other world class theatres, a visit is highly recommended.
Amazing place. First time we went was during the Lea Salonga show. The show sold out quick amd we managed to snag tickets at the back. It did not matter because the audio design is out of this world. It was truly an enjoyable experience. From parking to navigating our way to the seats, through watching the show and finally to leaving...it was smooth and enjoyable. Highly rated!
A great place for a memorable night however the management should really focus on ticketing because it’s a joke, we paid for the platinum class and for the first part of the show everything was great however when the next part started, people with normal tickets started flocking in to the platinum seats and the might even take your seat if you went for a break. It’s a mess really because no one checks their tickets. So a tip for you there if you’re looking to attend an event just buy a normal ticket and sneak to the platinum seats and no one from the dubai opera staff will hold you accountable.
A bit expensive but absolutely amazing. Even if you don’t buy the best seats you will have very nice view to the stage. You can pre order your drinks for the intermission before the show and enjoy. Don’t hesitate to be overdressed it is absolutely fine although smart casual is also acceptable.
beautiful opera house. We visited back in March and enjoyed it very much. It would be great for Dubai to have more often international opera production in town.
Very beautiful structure.... Adjacent to water body... Gives a breath taking view during nights.... Well submitted in the posh Dubai mall area
Very confusing parking situation. They make you walk all around the opera to get to any location in the opera. I guess that's th e design so u see the whole architecture. I guess it a good thing for them. Not so good for people who avoid walking. It's a symbol of grandeur at its best. Everyone should experience it atleast once
