Its free and has clean and free toilets. Also has a cafe and gift shop. Good Japanese and Chinese art. Lots of illustrated religious manuscripts from many different religions. If those are your interests then you'll love it.

Fantastic resource to have in Dublin. Free entry, and a wonderful rooftop garden. Lots of events and classes available. Some free or for a reasonable fee. The cafe food is delicious. Visit!

A gem not to miss, would come back to Dublin just to visit this place. Huge collection of valuable manuscripts, with detailed yet easy to understand information - plus it’s free to visit!

It's worth having a chat with someone who works here, because if we hadn't we wouldn't have discovered some of the amazing works on display at this museum. It's small otherwise, but there is definitely enough interesting artefacts here for someone interested in history to get behind.

If you think visiting a library might not be that exciting, think again! This is a museum filled with the most exquisitely decorated books - it's really a museum of world class miniature art. Simply beautiful collection made up mainly from Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Middle-Eastern and European cultures. The restaurant downstairs is one of the best in Dublin.

Obsessed with this place. Free to get in. The books are absolutely amazing to see, with insanely intricate illustrations and lots of history.

This museum shows you lots of beautifully decorated books with manuscripts from many different religions. Visit also the interesting rooftop garden. Surely worth while a visit in combination with a guided tour in Dublin Castle. Pity taking pictures was not allowed inside thé museum.

Extremely bad customer service from Management. Ordered mussels and calamari starter was sent out with only mussels. Management excuse was that they had a new chef. Did not bring out the calamari just said he added extra mussels to the dish instead. You don't get what's on the menu and what you paid for. Ended up paying for something which we never received.

An amazing collection of books from asian (chinese, japonese, indian, etc.) and middle easter pieces, mostly ancient books. Really beautifull old books, really worth visiting and, best of all, entrance is free.

We visited the Art of Book exhibition, and the Coming Home exhibition, both free (with well-deserved suggested 5E donation). Texts, displays and videos are very educational and visitor-friendly.
