Hill 16 – officially called Dineen Hill 16 and sometimes referred to as The Hill – is a terrace at the Railway End of Croke Park, the principal stadium and headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is located on the Northside of the Irish capital city, Dublin.
When Croke Park was first used for Gaelic games, the Railway End of the park was little more than a mound of earth. Its name was originally "Hill 60". That name came from a hill of the same name in Gallipoli on which the Connaught Rangers suffered heavy casualties in late August 1915. Contrary to common belief, the Royal Dublin Fusiliers did not participate in the Battle of Hill 60, although the latter regiment did lose heavily during the wider Gallipoli campaign (including at 'V' Beach, Cape Helles, the previous April).
I love Croke Park...the atmosphere is amazing, the noise of the crowd is electric and it makes whatever band you are paying over the odds for a ticket to see raise their game and put on a performance. Disabled facilities are fantastic, access not a problem, exiting just takes time for 80,000 people to leave first. The Guinness is good and there are plenty of taps so waiting isn't as bad as other venues. Parking can be problematic but like everything you pay for what you want.

Absolutely one of the best. Greeted with a smile and how was our travel to Ireland. Each individual was most gracious. Temperature of our room was just right. Our questions were answered quickly. We were able to get our tickets for the double decker bus tour very easy. The breakfast we had twice was exquisite.

Great location for conferences as well as football and hurling. There's a car park and good catering. Nice rooms for seminars and a secure sort of feel to it, unlike hotels with conference facilities. I'm only losing one star here because every thing is several flights up but the lifts are incredibly insufficient and they don't let you use the stairs in non emergency situation.

What can I say, the nation's home for sports. An impressive historical fortress of significant historical status. The history and stories alone are enough to temp even the most staunch sport detractor. The sky walk provides excellent views and tours, the tourist center together with everything else makes this a must see in Dublin on any day of the week for any occasion.

The biggest stadium in Ireland and your experience depends on what you are seeing there: GAA matches or a concert. Pity about the lack of proper women's toilets: breeze block walls, concrete floors, no mirrors and no hot water. After paying high prices for a ticket, I expect better.

Get to the beer queue a bit before half time because it fills up fast. No too much of an upcharge on the beer. Fast food available. Smoking area. Come on Dublin! Boys in blue!

Good but entry annoying because signage is poor. Not a regular punter so a bit green but? Joined a queue to get through security checks, then joined another queue for the turnstile. On reaching the turnstile we were told that we should have bought our tickets from the van outside. What van outside? No signs! Had to go back outside, join the queue for the van, then rejoin the queue for security etc. etc. etc. Silly, put up clearly visible signs. Park the van(s) nose or tail to the road so both sides are equally accessible, not parallel to the road.

Quality stadium, never really come across the stadium before which is odd as it’s massive (only stadiums like Wembley etc. In its league). Would love to come and witness it with a full house. Maybe hurling, Gaelic football or one of the many concerts. The stadium works with the local residents which is nice to see. They did sneak through a Rolling Stones Concert that hadn’t been agreed by the association but outside of that everything is normal worked out together. Love to see different stadiums that haven’t followed the usual floor plan. I can image this place to be rocking especially with Guinness fuelled fans. Well worth a visit.

What a stadium!! 3rd biggest in Europe, 82,300 capacity. Great atmosphere on a GAA day out or a concert to see one of the world's biggest acts. Comfortable and plenty of beer and food outlets. Good to bring kids to as well. Toilets are at every exit from seated area, throughout the stadium, so you'll not be short of one. Wheelchair accessible. Smoking areas all round the stadium.

Alright. I know it is a large venue. I know you need to control the crowds coming out of the venue after a concert. To make us walk 270 degrees around the outside of the venue to get out, seems a bit on the rough side. Having a crowd walk through so many residential street after midnight seems excessive. When we could have walked just the remaining 90 degrees to get out and 1 street. I can see why the residents complain so much. Only allowing a said number of late night events a year. It feels to me the venue wants more. That this was somehow punishment to the residents trying to deny the venue this one extra concert at short notice. So the venue needed to take it to the courts to get it done. The venue is great for events. But they really need to figure out how to get the crowds out at a later hour without disturbing the locals.

There for,Rolling Stones concert. Absolutely a brilliant experience. Security strict, with thorough body searching. Bars were open and you were permitted to bring drink to seat. Getting public transport aftercevent is delayed. Worth going to a big yes

If you're ever going to Croke Park, be it for a sport related or a concert - don't get seat on level 7 if you have vertigo.. Croke Park is fitted with multiple first aid posts. On big days, there a lot of food outlets and stalls for scarves, apparel etc. It's a great place. I wasn't there for enjoyment though - I was on a first aid duty to cover The Rolling Stones

Been here quite a few times for different events such as concerts and sporting games. The stadium is easy to get to and is best reached on foot as they do close the streets surrounding it. You can park at a school nearby but it certainly takes longer to get out once the game is over but compared to other stadiums around the world it is pretty good and much closer to the actual stadium. You have pretty good views from most seats but like any old stadium it is fairly basic if you are in the general admission but you don’t expect much more either. Game tickets are pretty reasonable and inside the corporate areas is pretty nice too.

Was here for a concert(Taylor Swift Reputation Tour). Croke Park was great. Such a great event and I thought the whole thing was really well organised. Getting in and out was quite easy with lots of people around giving direction. Wear something warm though as it can get quite chilly from the wind!
