Drimagh castle is the best castle to visit if you are interested in very old castles which are still in good condition. Located on the longmile Road in Dublin 12. If castles float your boat, then this is your 5 star castle. Robert M Foley.

It is so terrible and boring if you want a trip go to caseal in tipperary there is proffesional show around and fantastic view. The drimnagh castle is a boring place,no body shows you around and the only things there are to look at is the garden.
There is also a secondary school with bad boys in out at lunchtime which throw food at you. If you see a group of 4 or 5 beside the moat run away from a blond high teenager and the group beside the castle enterance itself. I absolutely do not advise you to go there at any circumstances (exclude getting bored to death).

Amazing place to visit. Great price. Very nice, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Beautiful garden and castle. The restoration to this place was done so well, it really feels like your stepping back into the medieval era when you visit here. I would recommend everyone to check out this place!

My wife and I had the privilege of visiting Drimnagh Castle on April 25th and greatly enjoyed a personalized tour by Denise. Thank you so much for taking us to some of the castle's less visited and somewhat secret places. We learned a lot and and were captivated by the beautiful gardens. We took lots of pictures, at least some of which I hope to upload here and on the restoration facebook page as promised. Thank you!!!

This was a great stop for our group while in Dublin. Our tour guide was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the castle, its history, and the restoration process. She kept our group of 17 college students engaged. While off the beaten path, it's not hard to get there from the Luas. If you're looking for Irish history without the crowds, add this to your Dublin itinerary.

Best experience for the price in dublin. The highlight of the trip. A great authentic location with history, no crowds, personable and funny guide. I can't recommend it enough.
