As the name suggests, Old Town with an ancient charm, dotted with squares, churches, monasteries, restaurants and a wall surrounding it all by the Adriatic sea. Simply beautiful, be it day or night. No entry fee in to the main town area but certain palaces and monasteries have a fee applicable for entry inside. Must see. Can get busy at times. Highly recommended.

We spend the majority of our 3 days in Dubrovnik inside the Old Town. There are lots of beautiful restaurants and lovely little shops. We went on a Game of Thrones tour in and around the Old Town and loved it. The Old Town is such a stunning place and has breathtaking views from Fort Lovrijenac. There is a harbour at the other gates in the Old Town where you can go on boat trips to Lokrum Island and panorama boat trips to see the Old Town from the sea. It is always busy here and is full of tourists from around the world. Cruise ships dock in Port Gruz on a daily basis which is a short Uber ride away so if you are on a cruise and stopping in Dubrovnik I highly recommend you coming to see the Old Town.

Old town is amazing! Easy to walk around. There are no cars allowed and not even for a place to bring a car. If you book a hotel here you will have to carry your bags down long stairs or only a walk in through the west side of town. It’s deff gotten pricey but still beautiful! Enjoy...

Old town is beautiful, if you don’t go to old town when visiting Dubrovnik then you are definitely missing out! This is a must visit. So much history and so much to see, get a tour guide or roam around on your own, the choice is yours!

Marvelous Old Town with squares, churches, markets, restaurants. A must see for any visitor. It's very tightly managed: no litter, no hawkers, and only the cats beg. It's not very large, and a fit person can see a lot in 2-3 hours. It's also VERY expensive. Walking ( and churches) are free. Eating out will cost you about 300 Kuna (£35) for a simple meal with drink. Admission to any building about 100 Kuna.
