Preston Hall is an early 19th century mansion house at Preston-on-Tees, Stockton-on-Tees, England. It has been a museum since 1953 and is owned by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. It is a listed building. The house stands in 100 acres (0.40Â km2) of parkland. The grounds of the house form Preston Park.
The manor of Preston on Tees was held in 1515 by William Sayer but was lost when the estates of Lawrence Sayer, who was a Royalist during the English Civil War, were sequestered and sold by the Commonwealth of England. In 1673 the manor was purchased by George Witham and during the residency of the Witham family the manor house was known as Witham Hall. In 1722 William Witham sold the estate to Sir John Eden Bt of Windlestone Hall and in 1820 it was sold again to David Burton Fowler.
Beautiful views, lovely long walk by the river tees and the water very calm and clean, lovely to go back again.

Fantastic boat trip from Yarm to Preston Park and back. Guys on board were great. Took my 2 dogs that hadn't been aboard a boat before and they were put totally at ease with dog snacks and quite a few strokes and cuddles, defo do again. Well done guys

We had a really great day out on the round trip boat ride. We heard about it from some others who had gone, otherwise we wouldn't have known about it. My only complaint is if you're getting it from Yarm instead of the park, it's next to impossible to find. The website and Facebook page didn't help much either. There was a sign in town but it was nowhere near the launch or gave any indication of where that was. We had to wander for awhile around Yarm to find it. If you walk past the Sainsburys parking lot toward the river, you can find It pretty easily from there. It was worth it when we did find it but when you're in the middle of a heatwave, walking in circles isn't fun. Otherwise it was a relaxing and charming meander down the Tees.
