Deep Sea World is an aquarium located in the village of North Queensferry, in Fife, Scotland. It is host to a collection of large sand tiger sharks, also known as ragged toothed sharks or grey nurse sharks, and various other species of shark.
The aquarium opened on 9 April 1993 in the site of the disused Battery Quarry, below the Forth Rail Bridge. It is owned and operated by the Spanish Aspro Ocio Group, who also run the Blue Planet Aquarium in England and many other aquaria in Europe.

Both I and the kid loved it. Child got in free cause they are under 3 which is great but for families on a tight budget. Some of the staff need extra training in terms of being engaging when sharing facts about the animals but one of the men there was fantastic. He was informative and funny. Excellent facility over all.

A nice aquarium in Scotland. The aquarium has a restaurant which looks very cozy. Not a very big aquarium for the price of the ticket. The under sea tunnel was pretty. Lots of information about the Sea world can be obtained. I recommend this Aquarium to anyone. Thanks :)

This would have got 5 stars but does need a little upgrade. The exhibits are brilliant and animals and sea life seem well looked after. Cafe a bit basic but still a great day out with things happening all day, feeding times etc. Go

Great sea world venue. The large tank that you travel under through the tunnel was great, with sharks swimming past you There were other things to see to, like the bearded lizard feeding. The seals were great, two lovely young males, but the pen they spend d their life on was far too small. The adjacent pen at least could be combined 😣

This place has not changed a bit since I was a kid! I'd visited recently with my boyfriend as he had never been before and we both had a great time. It was nice to see that it's still drumming up enough business, but I would recommend perhaps going on a weekday as it was very busy, and the underwater tunnel was packed during the shark feeding - leading people either to miss out on this event, or run the risk of being crushed. Other than this minor inconvenience, I really have no complaints! We both had a great time, the staff were very friendly and informative, and it gave us something a bit different to do. Hoping for better weather next time so we can actually go outside to see the seals.

I hadn't been here in a number of years and remembered it fondly. On arrival it still looks good, however once you get inside you quickly realise it hasn't changed at all. The aquarium still has the same displays, same fish and exactly the same layout. It needs a huge makeover and a huge upgrade to bring the tanks and exhibits up to date. All the freshwater tanks look like they need some TLC they are nearly all swarming with trumpet snails and all have dead or dying plants and need a good clean. The marine tanks look alright but again a bit dirty and dated. The big tank and tunnel. Again as with everything else, it needs cleaned, tidied and just brought up to date.

Lots to see and keep children engaged for an hour or so. The long tunnel is great and allows you to get up close and personal with the sharks and other creatures, including divers if you time it right for feeding time. The restaurant is nice but a little pricey, and the gift shop is full of cuddly toys if you like that sort of thing. A great day out.

Because of the somewhat critical comments we were a bit sceptical, but it was a great experience. The tunnel is simply great and we have been 6 times in the tunnel, very exciting and great laid out. The young man feeding the fish was very friendly, humorous and explained very well. It was certainly a great day for families too, but in one respect I have to agree with the previous speakers, the café does not invite you to stay. Otherwise very informative, large selection of fish, the sharks and the rays are absolutely worth seeing and the seahorses, all a little older but in good and well-kept condition. Only the swimming pool is much too small for the seals for my personal feeling....and the price for two people is a little bit to much (30 pounds).

It's a great place to have taken my daughter for a few hours, under 3's are free so the price wasn't bad although I know it ramps up pretty quick when you bring the rest of the family. Lots of interesting tanks and displays to see and the underwater tunnel is great. My wee one loved it, especially seeing the seals being fed. It's a bit tired in places hence the 4 stars but overall it was good. Cafe menu certainly needs updating/modernising too

Underwater sea tunnel was good for the kids to see the sharks but as already mentioned for the price of entry it is quite expensive for how long you would actually spend there. The sea tunnel is the main attraction but is over quite quickly and not a huge amount of things to do once that is over. To be fair kids did enjoy the time the spent there though.

3 stars as although the kids loved it, it is very overpriced as you are struggling to even spend even 2hours. Better value to go to zoo/5 sisters zoo or the Safari park as at least you get a full day for the same price it is to get in here. 2.50 for a kids ice lolly is ridiculous. The seal show and talks were good. The whole place is dated and needs a good overhaul.

We went on a Saturday . Not crowded. Not much to watch either. The sea tunnel was the longest I have ever been. Apart from that there are a handful fish tanks to see. There are sea horses, seals, clown fish, pirahna, cave fish, corals, frog types, and few other fish variations . It would take maximum one and half hours to finish touring the aquarium.

Very quick attraction. The tunnel is good, and worth a visit. But there isn't much outside of the tunnel to see, so value for time is quite poor. Staff in the aquarium seem helpful and friendly. But the issue is the cafe! Tourist attraction food isn't cheap, we all know that and so not my issue. But being served by the slowest, least interested and presentable bunch of staff I have seen in a long time is very off-putting. Not to mention the cleanliness. It resembles a child's playpen with every table and floor caked in food. In part this is the fault of the customers with very poor standards, but equally, those staff need a supervisor, and soon!

A fantastic idea badly executed.... There really isn't much here with the biggest draw being the tunnel, which is good but quickly completed... Leaving you with only the option to go back an look again at the displays you'd looked at on the way down to the tunnel. The seals are cute and had we felt it worth it we would have stayed for feeding but decided on a quick coffee first...only to be dismayed at the range and value for money. This whole venture is seriously massively over priced but is in obvious need of investment and a good tidy up and lick of paint so it's an obvious case of swings-and-roundabouts with charging enough to make money but not too much to out people off... Unfortunately they have gone too far the wrong way.

Okay day out I suppose. Hard to get too enthused by it personally. In it's favour, The underwater tunnel is pretty decent. My kid liked the moving walkway as much as the views of various big fish. Nice sharks and Skates gliding overhead. The other Aquarium tanks have some interesting fish but it was too busy and noisy to take it in. The view of the Forth bridge from underneath is great and North Queensferry worth a walk around for views. Bad side. The Shop full of tat, a lot of which is overpriced but that's normal in visitor attractions. The cafe on the other hand....shocking. Poor quality food, I mean really poor, charged at Pub food prices. We were there just after 3pm and there was little choices. A bland rubbery Chicken burger with chips, no salad even, a burned falafel burger thing, a horrible pizza that cost about £14? Bring your own food or eat before or after your visit.

I have been there many times. Aquarium is situated under the Forth Bridge what makings this place unique in my opinion. But inside the Sea World you can find always something new, breath taking creatures and possibility to dive with them. Highly recommended for the couples, families and groups.

Some of it is fantastic take first part and the underwater tunnel. But that's it. No. Really that's it. They have a seal part but that's small and needs cleaning. For what you pay there is not a lot there. Felt let down. You can do it all in a hr. Even less.
