Falésia Beach (Portuguese: Praia da Falésia, meaning Cliff Beach) is a beach in Albufeira, Algarve, southern Portugal. It has a cliff that begins in the Barranco das Belharucas Beach and extends to Vilamoura.
The beach is part of a continuous stretch of sand almost 6 km in length. It is flanked by a line of high cliffs in deep tones ranging from reds to whitish, in contrasting colours with the green of the pine groves above. At the western end, the cliff is high but soft, composed of sand and clay, so the rain wears away grooves and gullies. To the east, the cliff is gradually losing height, while remaining deeply eroded. It is this erosion that keeps the beach sandy. As a result, small cones of sand form at the base of these cliffs, where typical dune plants such as sea daffodils, sea bindweed, spiny thrift, Cretan trefoil and sea holly have taken root. These species intermingle with the more monotonously-coloured vegetation typically found on cliffs, which here mostly consist of Mediterranean saltbush.

One of the cleanest and finest beaches in Algarve. It has scenic views from the cliff top, the route is kids friendly and has some breathtaking views of the coastline.

One of the most amazing beaches in Algarve! Always very crowded during the High Season however in the Low Season it's truly peaceful and uncrowded. One of my favorite places to relax and chill.

Beautiful and amazing beach! Even during the high season you can find your peaceful space. There is also a curious legend about it, that is about a beautiful mermaid that decide to transform herself in the beautiful sand of the beach because she was undecided between the man of the mountain and the man of the sea. The sand of this beach is one of the most impressive as the cliff that are stunning at the sunset time.

Beautiful picturesque beach that stretches on for a couple of miles. Very popular with locals and tourists. The cliffs are so colourful and uniquely etched with the changing climates. Certainly worth a visit. Walking to the left you will eventually arrive at the Vilamoura Marina where there are a few restaurants to grab lunch or a quick snack. Lovely!

One of the most amazing beaches / zone in Algarve! Always very crowded during the High Season however in the Low Season it's truly peaceful and uncrowded. One of my favorite places to relax and chill. Please notice that Falésia Beach it's only one section of 'Falésia' because 'Falésia' it's a 5,5km sand and cliff extension.

Blue flag beach in Vilamoura. Golden sand and clear water. Loads of space. Lots of life guards. Parking nearby. Kiosks for drinks and food. Safe for kids.

It is a special beach. Very narrow, clear fine blue water, on the northside it's a red soil cliff. Definitely worth visiting.

Stunning beach with a beautiful back drop of red cliffs. Very family oriented. Able to walk for miles! However, if you like uncrowded places then this isn't for you as the area is absolutely packed. I would suggest coming in September rather than July or August.

Beautiful and amazing beach. Real feel free atmosphere. It's better to go there before 9.00 couse it's hard to find the place to park the car. Obligatory place to visit.
