Lovely family day out. Great cafe. Lovely house to look round (not good for kids under 5ish). A wonderful outdoor play area. Great views.

A lovely place to walk round. A few different gardens to look at. You can enjoy it her at anytime of the year. There is a tiny zoo a cafe a few shops and of course the house. We go often and really enjoy it. Lots of children seem to enjoy it too.

It's one of favourite places to visit. Lots to see and do in the most beautiful surroundings. Lots of special events on every week and a great place to take the kids or grandparents xx

Fantastic place for children, dressing up room, play room and a quiz to complete. The play ground is also very good. Zoo is quite small, but the feeding time for penguins is fun.

The clock tower has been tastefully refurbished, good menu and service. The seating area clean and tidy with plenty of space. We did not visit the house this time but have been previously and this too was much improved with new displays and features. They have recently advertised afternoon teas in the old orangery with a piano being played, this needs to be booked in advance. The grounds are looking a little tired in autumn but still a pleasant walk, the small zoo is open still at this time of year as is the children's play area. Quite busy but adequate parking space with disabled parking, the grounds and house are reasonable wheelchair accessible too.

I love this place, and the sun being out certainly helped! Greeted by a Greek storyteller playing music was lovely and the kids really enjoyed it too, as was there little adventure finding out about Apollo. Got to watch the lemurs being fed, had ice cream and a walk to the beach as well around the grounds. Couldn’t do the house this time as had the dog with us, but watched the kids let off steam in. The playground.A bit pricey at £19 for 1 adult 2 kids, if you are there for a full day you get your money’s worth easily.Highly recommend for all ages.

The hall has been extremely well restored and decorated. The rooms are well lit and interesting to view. The gardens are not huge but contain plenty of plants, bushes and trees to make it worth a visit.

Enjoyed a nice walk with the family through the gardens and had a look at the redwoods that my dad grew from saplings, went to the blue Bell Wood and it was a bit naff, brightly colored doors 6 feet up a tree, could then have not attempted to incorporate them into the natural shapes of the trees? Great visit until Blue Bell woods would reccomend for anyone wanting a walk around the gardens but stay away from the bluebell Wood.

Its not changed much in the 40 years since I first visited, the zoo has less animals the cafe is a little smaller. But it's worth the entry fee for a few hours looking around the house and grounds. There is offten a simple event going on (see website).

Thoroughly enjoyed the day here today. There's enough to do to occupy yourselves, from walking around the walled gardens which are stunning to watching the animals getting fed at feeding times. The penguin's are the best part of the zoo along with the talking parrot which tries to copy everything you say. The orange marmalade ice cream in the stables cafe was very nice definitely recommend it. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming so we will definitely come back here again in the future.

Visited over the Easter weekend with my son & granddaughter. Busy time to find a parking space so parked on the village road. (Hence one star lost) The hall cleverly left clues for the younger ones to find, in rooms around the hall, while the older ones enjoyed reading information about the rooms and the hall. My granddaughter really enjoyed dressing up as a maid, there was lots to keep her amused. The jousting display was excellent, the small zoo is interesting, with talks from the keepers. My favourite was playing the piano, yes I was the crazy lady running up & down the electric floor keyboard. Great day out

A good few hours out, lovely house and gardens. An added bonus was the zoo and all that for £7.50 entry,WOW,what a bargain. Not to be missed. Lovely cafe too. And if you pay an extra £2.50 entry fee you can catch the land train to briddlington return. Overall an excellent value for money place to go. Don't just take my word for it,go see for yourselves.

I love Sewerby Hall and all it has to offer. The hall itself offers a genteel peek into the Edwardian era and grounds have a certain tranquillity, particularly in the beautiful gardens. There is a zoo with a limited number of animals and birds on display, which is included in the admission price. An annual pass is excellent value if you plan regular visits.

Superb place to visit note that you will need at least two hours to explore both the house and gardens, if you also want to visit the zoo give another thirty minutes on top of this. The house currently had a superb exhibition on the aviator Amy Johnson and her life. Well worth visiting.

This place is amazing. Lots to do. Take a look around the zoo which has some lovely animals and great for kids and adults alike. Then pop into the house which has plenty to see along with some exhibitions. The walled garden is gorgeous with lots of interesting scarecrow characters. There is also a land train which takes you to Bridlington. You won't be disappointed with a visit here.

Sewerby Hall can make for an interesting visit and a nice change of pace from the usual seaside attractions. It is quite easily accessible by car but there is also a little train that runs between Bridlington and the hall. The entry fee is a bit expensive but it is worthwhile if you intended to visit the museum and gardens. The gardens are well kept and provide an interesting experience for those interested in plants and gardens. If this is your interest then there is also the opportunity to buy some plants from the gardeners at Sewerby Hall. There are other outside spaces at the Hall including a cricket pitch and a picnic area. There are often events taking place at the hall such as piano playing in the orangery. The cafe offers a good selection of drinks, snacks, and meals.

Excellent day out. I think £37.50 for 5 adults is good value for money. They have the zoo with plenty of animals and birds to see. The hall is very big, well staffed, with lots to see. The gardens are beautiful with the nursery selling plants for £1.50 and £2.50. I bought 4 but could have bought a lot more.
