Oh wow! Fascinating museum, full of world- known pieces of art, the main gallery takes your breath away. There is room for improvement in their maps, slightly confusing sometimes, and the app is not that good either. However, this is by no means an impediment to appreciate its collections. Do book your ticket before hand, at least a few days in advance as the queues are significantly long! If you have time, take the opportunity to go to the top terrace, it has beautiful views of the city!

This building gives a good insight into the history of Florence. The rooms are full of surprises and beauty, I defy anyone to be struck by the magnification room of the 500, the ornate ceilings and painted stairways. Give yourself time to browse through the rooms do not glimpse. Due to tired legs did not climb up the tower.

Do not miss it! The visit of the palace is a must in Florence. This is now a municipal museum and guided visits are provided. We had a very knowledgeable guide in excellent English and the private tour includes some areas not authorized for the general public. Cost per person was 14 euros (10 for the general entrance and 4 for the private tour). We were only 6 in our tour group so the experience was very good.

We visited a few days before Christmas. It was not crowded at all. When you enter, there is one great room, that has some amazing sculptures. From there, there are many rooms to look at, some are chapels. There are many works of art. For an extra fee, you can climb the tower. It was not a bad climb, about 200 steps. I would do this climb again. Views were great, and no people. Nice place overall.

Best way to view Florence - we got the museum and tower for €14, and money well spent. Chose this over climbing the dome and would do the same again in a heartbeat, quite simply because it is much better to look at the dome from the tower here than vice-versa - the phrase, "would you rather see a palace from a cave or cave from a palace" came to mind, however as a 'cave' this is a mighty impressive one! Lots of rooms to look around in the museum including a rather grand hall. As with everything, arrive earlier to avoid queues, we got there about 10am and did OK, but any later would have meant more waiting. If you're trying to decide between this and the dome, do this!

I really liked visiting the Palazzo Vecchio because inside you get a feel for what it was like many centuries ago during the reign of the Medicis. The Palazzo also has a tower which I highly recommend going up. The views are amazing from there. Inside also is a nice collection of art.

Very impressive palace, walls full of frescoes, better than any art gallery. Honestly, I liked it more than Uffizi. There are works of Michelangelo. The best is that it's one of few museums in Florence, where you don't have to queue

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything inside is bright and settled, a very beautiful place to slowly wander through. If you are going to climb the tower, you will need to wait in line to go up. Though you might have the Firenzi Card, you also need to wait for the entrance. And when i was there in January, i should wait for almost an hour, so I didn't climb the tower. I suggest you leave at least 1 hour to the building.

An amazing landmark! The tower offers a beautiful view of Florence. The best part is that you get to see the Santa Maria cathedral and the queue to get was acceptable compared to the tower next to the cathedral or the dome itself. Tickets were cheap €9/person if I recall correctly (for censession).

We spent the afternoon here after considering some of the other places to get a view of the city, and we'd happily do it again. Unless you're really interested in the history of Florence, skip the archeological tour and go for the museum and tower. The tour is an app you download to your phone and about 5 small rooms. Interesting for sure, but not work the 4 Euros in my opinion. The museum is a variety of historical art with Roman gods, Florence history and other tales. It's a site to behold, with each room having description boards in Italian and English. Stop to enjoy the art. The tower is what we loved the most. You'll likely have to wait, as they keep the number down at the top, which is for everyone's benefit. Most places are elbow to elbow and you're fighting for a good picture, but the top was quite leisurely. Not to mention it has the best view of the city, with all of the major landmarks in view. Not the highest point, but if you want a picture of Florence with the Basilica, come here.

Very interesting museum with lots of information on how the Florence would look during the renaissance and how the building was renovated over the years by the ruling parties. In addition there are beautiful rooms full of exquisite furniture that had been made in Florence in the lapidary and inlay workshops. The tower above lends panoramic views of the city. I can heartily recommend a visit especially if you intend to visit other landmarks with a Firenze card

An agressive and disproportionately huge number of rude staff in red coats check and recheck passes, guarding a small, poorly preserved group of minor works. Poorly communicated and arbitrarily enforced policies combine for a modern Italian fascist experience. A capricious bag policy: any size of women's bags are fine, any size of backpack is not fine. Barely worth the price of a ticket. Leave your bags at home or be prepared to pay a bribe.

This museum is pretty fun, but has a lackluster view from the tower. The lower level of the tower has good views of the city (as pictured) and has interesting murder holes in the ground, but at the top of the main tower, the Y-shaped protrusions are too tall to see over, and visitors are prevented from getting near the edge. There is one designated photo taking platform, but the view is not as enjoyable as other towers. (If you're looking for a safer-looking one, this might be it) The building and museum itself are pretty nice, featuring a variety of works from the time, as well as explanations of the history of the building and it's expansions. Overall, it's a good museum that I would recommend.

Very BIG and spacious museum. Some of the rooms are much more interesting than others, but they all have appeal. The ceilings of the rooms are honestly the best part, so do not forget to look up. The staff are friendly and helpful. Works with your Firenze card.

A copy of Michelangelo’s famous David statue you can see here . Visitors to the square can dine here in many restaurants

Absolutely incredible museum, worth the €10 (€8 for students) price. Didn't do anything other than the museum, and others say the tower wasn't worth it, but the art inside is absolutely incredible and could be a couple hours experience for those interested enough. Great experience in Florence

Interesting building if you're into the art and history. The views from the top of the battlements and the tower are great and give a slightly different perspective to that of the Duomo. Definitely worth to see if you've spare time but it wouldn't be a priority in my opinion. Downside is that it's insanely hot inside.
