The following is a timeline of the history of the city of Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Other cities in the state of Hesse:(de)
Very big variety of stalls in a relatively small space. Ground floor has lots of products from different parts of Germany and Europe. Lots of traditional meat both raw and cooked. Upstairs is a wine bar and a restaurant and several deli food stalls selling fish, pasta and Italian foods. Outside the front will be several wine stands and bratwurst stalls which make for a great atmosphere on the weekend.

Great location with lots of stalls of different types of produce, friendly service, good prices especially on meat (lamb shanks for only 13€/kg)! I had a great coffee here too, though I can't say the same for their service!

A very big large and comprehensive food market composed of many different vendors. You can eat at the different small restaurants, but food to go or just buy ingredients. Well organized, friendly workers (lots of food samples!) and reasonable prices. If you’re walking around Frankfurt stop by and check it out!

From herbs to delicious German deli and meats, and everything in between such as Italian sweets. You'll find it here! Great for lunch and tapas as well.

A great indoor market to peruse, by fresh meat or vegetables, or grab a bite to eat. It’s packed with local shops and stalls selling whatever is in season. The side wall is where you find all the meat. Vegetables are gathered in the middle as well as bakeries, coffee, and cafes. The fish market is upstairs. If you’re looking for cheap, local eats, this is a good place. Many of the meat shops sell ready-to-eat wieners and bratwurst. Look for the stall with the longest line of locals. That’s a good way to tell which place is best. Be prepared, many shop owners don’t speak English and only accept cash. So bring your Euro and translator.

Nice indoor market with good bakery goods. Mostly for locals with fresh meats and produce but worth a walk through if you've got time. Pick up some bread or cake

Lovely market with local German food and produce. Excellent for local sausage and a bread roll eating standing up with the locals

This is an amazing place for you to visit. You have several options there, ranging from garden, to winery. It's amazing to go and have a happy our with your colleagues, to have breakfast, brunch or even a dinner there. It can be overcrowded on Saturday... By the way it's super sad that it closes at 16h on Saturdays.

great place to grab to sample what in season. Had a bowl of asparagus soup from one of the meat shop. Their pork schnitzel was cooked perfect tender, soft and slightly pink at the bones. The Bouillabaisse from the seafood shop on 2nd floor was delicious... On the 2nd floor patio area, you can have a glass of wine and chill..

This is a great place to buy produce that looks (and tastes) perfect, if you have a few more Euros to spend. The stands with world-ingredients are great, and very fair prices. The staff at the stands are generally friendly, except for one stand where they are excessively pushy. Restrooms are downstairs.

The best market in Frankfurt. Really good quality everything, sometimes a little more expensive than your average supermarket but still affordable. I like shop fresh food from here.
