Rosenberg Library, a public library located at 2310 Sealy Street in Galveston, Texas, United States, is the oldest continuously operating library in Texas. It serves as headquarters of the Galveston County Library System and its librarian also functions as the Galveston County Librarian.
The library was established in 1900, and the building constructed a few years later. In 1905 it absorbed the collection of the defunct Public Library (est. in 1871 as the Galveston Free Library).
Love this library! All of the librarians are amazing. So nice and helpful. The book selection is amazing. This is hands down one of the best libraries I have ever been to.

You've got to visit this building. It is an architectural beauty. Also, there is a museum on the forth floor and admission is free.

While it has its charms, this art gallery has entirely too many books for my tastes.

The history and architecture of this place are second to none in Texas as far as I'm concerned. As a library it's pretty nice. If you're looking to do research about the island this would be the ideal place to do so. Only problem is it tends to be a hotspot for homeless people. Wouldn't be surprised if you caught a guy washing himself from the sink in the bathrooms.

The worst library I’ve ever been too. There was poop all over the restroom and some guy literally masturbated next to a woman in the computer lab.

Yes, the library is wonderful. Books, movies, historical displays, and a fine computer lab. What really helped us was the ability to use a conference room with teleconference capabilities to connect three locations for legal mediation. For no fee we orchestrated a hearing and won!! Thanks.

This is a wonderful library; it includes an extremely nice and helpful staff, large selection of books and computers, and is clean, bright, and welcoming. I will be a frequent flyer here!
