The Grand always has something going on! We have been twice in recent months, once for an 'open mic' event which displayed the local talent of several Galveston natives; another time to see 'Stomp' which was absolutely worth it. A true mixture of small and large acts alike speaks volumes about the staff's ability to pull in a variety of entertainment. The charm of this venue inside and out as a historic landmark only adds to your experience. I highly recommenced taking time to look at upcoming events and visit while you are in town!

We saw "Stomp." Such an incredibly beautiful theatre! Was exciting just to be there... the show was amazing, too! In a great location. 2 blocks from The Strand in Galveston, so we walked around, shopped and had some lunch before the show. Great afternoon with my boys!

Cute historically restored theater. The seats are horribly tiny. Very cramped and very small. No leg room. My shoulders are wider than the actual seats on the main floor. My arms literally overlapped in to chairs on either side of me. It was like sitting in a child's seat at an elementary school. The restoration is beautiful but a complete fail on practical functionality and comfort. I will definitely not return.

Went to see the Nutcracker again, saw it last year and loved it. Was fun again. All the little kids and big. Principal dancers always great. Look forward to seeing it next year. And we don't have anyone dancing, just enjoy the show

I really enjoy watching shows here. The performers are so close...The staff is amazing. It’s located near some great restaurants! If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Truly wonderful place. We had a great time listening to a living legend like Jerry Jeff Walker.

Always have a great place to be. I am a volunteer there and it is always an uplifting and enjoyable experience. You meet a lot of good people, enjoy the shows and atmosphere.

Great staff (volunteers) and great venue. Love this place. The staff went out of their way to help with an unexpected ADA situation. Thank you!

The Galveston Opera House is the oldest opera house in Texas. The Texas legislature designated this opera house as the official opera house of the State of Texas. This is truly a remarkable work of architecture and a must visit for every visitor.

This was a cool place to visit I wish they had had some sort of audio tour or a guided tour to fully understand the impact of this historical place. The staff was friendly and helpful but didn't offer much information regarding the Opera House

We watched a well known play Alice and Wonderland. It had comfortable unassigned seating...AC felt great and no disruptions.

I would have given more stars if there wasn't black mold all over the ceiling. Also, the seats are very small and the sound system is terrible. Wasn't happy that they charge to park in the parking lot behind the building.

This was the coolest place. Can't wait to see a show here
