Very nice. We love how it sits off of the ocean. It's not too big. Just right for an evening of fun. Prices are reasonable. I love that those that aren't riding anything can just pay the walk on amount. Definitely a must visit if you're in the area.
Be ready to have fun, laugh, smile and spend money! My boyfriend and I had a great time we managed to spend $100 JUST on games! (Two adults being big kids) I'm happy to say we DID win "Bob the unicorn" AND "Bubbles the blue gator" teddy so it was well worth the money just for the smiles we had and the memories we made. Bring cash with you it's easier to pay for things and I always think safer too. The wait to get onto the pier was fast moving and the staff was all friendly, they work hard to keep the lines moving. They had a live band at the other end, lots of yummy junk food (forget healthy eating here) cold drinks, and even beer. We went on the big Ferris wheel, that didn't take long to get on their either. (I'm not a fan of waiting in long lines especially in this heat!) Seeing the beautiful sunset at the very top was a great way to end our fun day. I'm happy to say it was an all-around fun experience. Go give it a try and have a good time! 💓 @affirmationsbyKimmie Instagram
Highly recommend! Had an absolute blast here. Definitely advise going in the evening; we went at night, and also the next day at 11am. At nighttime, it's magical with all the lights, and also pleasantly cool during the summertime. Beautiful views of the shoreline and ocean from higher rides. All in all, absolutely worth the all day pass price of about $26/person. Great entertainment, very clean, very friendly.

Lots of fun here with the family. We visited the the second week of July, getting in the park around 4, after spending the first part of the day in the strand. We read that many people stay only a couple of hours, probably since it's a small theme park, but you can really make a day of it as you have wristbands that give you re-entry. Simply go on rides that are less crowded at first, go eat ice cream or a snack across the street. You might want to plan it to see this place at night too, very pretty! Fyi, you can ask for free cups of water from the concession.
Had a great time hear with my husband on our wedding anniversary! We are the adventurous type so we road some rides, had snacks and had our pictures taken. Fun for the whole family. This place has fun activities for every age level. We'll definitely be back again!
Great rides. Iron Shark was being serviced as that was what we wanted to ride, but rode the Texas Flyer instead. Still a great ride that was much more thrilling that I anticipated. A word on admission, we only wanted to ride the Iron Shark so wanted to only get an extreme ride ticket. You HAVE to purchase a wrist band to enter Pleasure Pier, so our single ticket price came to $17. Just an FYI, but still had a great time with the one ride!
Loved it...enjoy a free ferry ride to Boliva Island. Crystal Beach was a little dirty for my liking but we still had fun. A $10 beach pass is good until the end of the year on any of the 28 miles of beaches...took the kids there and had a blast...free ferry ride. Remember to take your vehicle and don't walk on...you can mingle about the boat after it leaves port...no transportation provided on the island. We seen a school of baby dolphins on our trip...so much fun
We took a nice stroll around the Galveston Pleasure Pier. It was late in the evening and they were nearing closing, but we were able to enjoy and see a few sightings, like these school of fish around the pier. Do you ever wonder like I do what's going on right beneath the surface of the water? Looking through the telescope, I spotted someone far out in the water on a canoe or board-it was hard to make out but it was impossible to see them with the naked eye, so you KNOW they were far.
We had a great time with our 7 year old grand daughter. There were 5 separate rides she could go on, and she enjoyed all 5 very much. They also had a few carnival games she could participate in, which she really liked after she won a prize. The all day pass was nice. After a while on the Pier, we were able to take a walk on the beach for a little bit, and then return for more fun and games. Made for a very pleasurable evening.

Beautiful views and fun rides! Also you can just walk in the peer and eat carnival food! Alot fun loving people with positive altitudes! Will definitely be going back!
Super fun attraction located in Galveston. Lots of carnival style games, rides, and food to enjoy. Super friendly staff, very helpful. Check operating hours, Fridays are open 4pm to 9pm, we showed up too early and had to kill some time before we were able to go in and enjoy the rides.
It was great! Really fun. The only reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 is because the old-time photos booth was gone but was still listed on the brochure. I was looking forward to that.
I enjoyed myself while there. I didn't enjoy paying over $100 for 3 teens and 1 toddler to ride on only 4 different rides. They maybe rode on each ride 5 times. Due to them standing in line most of the time. Then the people who are not riding the rides have to pay just to walk around. I feel that they need to add more rides or lower the price of day passes.
Unfortunately the park was closed during our trip to Galveston, but we were able to walk up and look at all the rides. Looks like a fun place to go while visiting. At night they turn on the Ferris wheel which was neat to see as we drove by.
Came here Early March 2018, went on a cool potentially rainy day to avoid crowds. Plan worked and was able to enjoy short lines and less riffraff. Most rides were fun, and there is a good mix of rides for younger shorter children and older taller adults and youth. What I liked is that there seemed to be a good amount of security and constables patrolling the pier. Also it was clean all throughout the pier, I appreciate management paying attention to those two things. What I would like to see better, is better ride maintenance, and corrosion control, the rides are only a few years old and I'm already seeing paint peeling and corrosion on structural supports. This being an open pier on the gulf of Mexico, they (the management) is going to have to be diligent about corrosion control. Also I wouldn't mind paying about 20% more on ticket's to access the pier. This would help further reduce riffraff from gaining access to the pier. Also I noticed several smoking areas on the pier, the management should in the interest of public health, completely ban smoking, and vaping on the pier. This would help keep the pier even that more clean. Overall great family place to visit!
Great place to walk off food and enjoy scenery with family. Lots of games and rides and food options. Park along sea wall and enjoy beach too! Love that u don’t have to pay to get in.
We visited in January so our experience may not be typical. The crowd was pretty light which meant little to no wait lines for the rides. We had a great time and spent a good 5 hours riding the rides. The hawkers working the midway games were not pushy and everyone working was friendly. This was a very fun time and we will definitely so this again when it is a bit warmer. Because this is a pier and on the coast it is very windy. I imagine the wind feels good in warmer weather, but during colder weather you can't get away from the cold wind.
The prices are a little high for good and drinks in this area but this place is truly worth the visit. I would come here over navy pier in Chicago any day of the week. Great family atmosphere as well.
Love the Galveston area the historic sites and beaches make this place a great Texas stop. We enjoyed the many restaurants and activities on the beaches. We always find something new each time we come to the area. There are many good hotels to choose from in the area and using websites always get us a good deal. This last time we had an illness and found a great walk in clinic with easy directions.
Galveston Island historic part reminds me the western movies I've seen in my childhood! In February everything was quiet the streets were clean. You can see just a few houses which have more than 100 years. As coming from the Europe it looks like something shabby. This not means that you can not enjoy what you can see!
