Barshaw Park is public park in Paisley, Scotland. It has 55 acres (22 hectares) of recreational parkland and garden areas which are open to the public.
In the early 20th century, the local council of Paisley was looking to create a public recreation area. A wealthy local family, the Arthurs, sold 55 acres (22 hectares) of land to Paisley Burgh Council (now Renfrewshire Council) in 1911. Ground works were carried out at the site and the park opened on 15 June 1912.

Barshaw Park is a lovely place to go for a quick stroll with some nice views from the top of the hill. Great space for dog walking and a reasonable sized play area. A great location to enjoy a sunny afternoon!

Lovely park, children's park, bike area and pond. Nature's Corner is always shut but hopefully one day I'll get in!

Great work, kids park, basketball court, outdoor gym, lake area good for running around, plenty of grass areas. A great spot for dog walkers and an area for cycling and a coffee!

Great park for families, good playpark, cycling area with mock road layout for balance bike or first pedal bike practice and a little wildlife area with small animals and birds.

Great for kids with the two play areas. Great for walking dogs too but the dog run is a mess, the gate is difficult to close/open and is not suitable for disabled or less able bodied folk as it is quite literally a boggy, muddy hill. Don't know why the old run was abandoned. In need of improvement. Would also be good if the cafe was dog friendly as they would make a killing. Imho the friendly Barshaw dog walkers make the park. As well as the families who bring their kids there. Lovely peace garden too but again due to lack of funding needs attention too.

Great park in a nice location. It's accessible from all directions. Lots of relaxation things for the whole family. It is a family friendly park with lots of space. The downside though is dogs roam around alot and you have to watch out for dog fouls.

Park is even better now that playground has been updated. Zip slide most popular with older children. Great to see the train back on. This park seems to have everything to keep children entertained.

Went on bank holiday Monday May. Expecting to see wee train and petting corner. Nope everything was off apart from cafe. Grass badly needing cut everywhere and rubbish everywhere on grounds. All the bins were over flowing. Couldn't see where we were walking half the time for the grass. Disappointed big much

Visited here with my godson. Toilets are a total disgrace for the amount of people who use the park. It needs to be jet washed and deep cleaned. The new kids play park is brilliant and a welcomed addition. The model railway was on and we went on that. Very novel but my nephew loves it. Cafe prices are ok. Ice cream was tasty and not overly priced. Swans and ducks in the pond so lots to see and do. Shame the pet corner has closed as that gave the park a wee edge.

Nice public park with a good size pond, playpark for kids and a small animal "zoo". Wheelchair accessible car park and toilet. There is also a circular train ride for adults n kids as well as a switchback cycle circuit for children. Cafe in park also.

Went to Barshaw a few weeks ago, weather was fabulous. My daughters & their kids came along to with a freshly made picnic, plenty of juice crisps ect for everyone. We sat few yards from the big adventure playground next to the original swings chute & roundabout. The kids had a brilliant day as did the adults. Plenty of activities for the young ones & a good day for the mums too. Highly recommend especially on a warm day

Old fashioned Park in good way. Great for walks with dog. Good kids play area. Bike area. Not enough parking in the park though, thus 4 stars. Walled garden, golf course and a pond.

Really nice and clean park, plenty to do for the kids. There is outdoor gym equipment, cafe, kids play are and animal area. The only trouble is that they don't tell you when the animal area is open? If been a few times and the gates are shut with no times on the board.
