Q1 Tower (an abbreviation of Queensland Number One) is a 322.5-metre (1,058Â ft) supertall skyscraper in Queensland, Australia. The residential tower on the Gold Coast was the world's tallest residential building from 2005 to 2011. As of September 2022, it is the 14th tallest residential tower in the world, the tallest building in Australia, the second tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere, and the third-tallest free-standing structure in the Southern Hemisphere, behind the Autograph Tower in Jakarta, Indonesia, and the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand. The Q1 officially opened in November 2005.
The landmark building was recognised as one of Queensland's icons during the state's 150th-birthday celebrations.
An iconic place of Gold Coast. Our entry was free because we had a season pass from Dreamworld. At the observation deck, you can see a whole stretch of Surfers Paradise. There are pay-to-use binoculars around if you want to try your luck in spotting a cockroach at a very far distance. There is a cafe too. I personally love the view from up there. Quite pleasant to the eyes. Staffs were very friendly and never fail to put up a smile. Would definitely recommend to those who loves sightseeing.

Had a great experience at sky point. Went multiple times using our dream world passes. Was lovely to sit by the window and watch the streets below during the day. We returned for dinner on our last night in surfers and although the tables are a little awkward, the food was really nice and good value. Would love to return on next trip!

The veiw was spectacular but not really worth $25. Luckily our ticket was included in our 3 day Dreamworld ticket otherwise it would not have been worth it. It has the fastest elevator in Australia but it is not as spectacular as it sounds. Worth a look though if you can get a deal. The tower walk looks like fun if you are prepared to spend $85.

I went here for the buffet breakfast, the place was full but the service was excellent and we were quickly given a table. The food was fairly standard for a buffet breakfast, what makes this place stand out is the incredible view. You can see for miles, it is a breathtaking, spectacular view and you can only get it at SkyPoint.

The SkyPoint Observation Deck is an incredible place to visit and honestly worth the price to go up. The good is also very reasonably priced. We ate before going up expecting it to be too pricey, but learned when we got up that they had a great selection that looked really taste! It would have been nice to eat and spend time with family while enjoying such a fantastic view. If you're going to the observation deck, make it your lunch or dinner time! You won't regret it.

Loved the experience. Its amazing how the lift (one of the fastest in Australia) takes you from level 1 to 77 in around 25 seconds (your ears feel the pressure at both times - going up and coming back down). Amazing views! Must visit.

I wish I could give this 2.5. I don't know why but I couldn't find a menu online for this place. Obviously nice views but they told us the kitchen closes at 7pm so we had to rush to order. We had the seafood platter for two. It came with no sauce,I asked for sum and it never came. The salad was nothing much. The chips were salty, the calamari was the best item of the lot,the fish was small thin pieces, prawns were nice and the mussels tasted better than expected. Price wise it was little more than expected for what you get We had to clean our own table and it was closer to the end of the night they started cleaning. If service was better I would give it a better mark.

This showcased the best views of surfers paradise. Although it has a steep entry fee (roughly $40 per person) and a wait for the lift to take you up to the top, I would suggest this to anyone as a once off. You are able to walk the 360 degree observation deck to take in all the sights and get all the photos. There is also a cafe up the top with a range of food and drink.

The views here are amazing but don’t bother eating here. Service is non-existent - asked a waiter to clear our table and he was almost disgusted I asked only to then brush all food scraps straight onto the floor. Food finally came and all four meals weren’t even close to being hot. Asked for some cutlery and it was never delivered. Fortunately other tables had some so we took from them. Staff totally disengaged and not one smiled all afternoon.

Sky Point’s observation deck is the best vantage point and offers a 360 degree views of the Gold Coast. They also have a cafe (which is over-priced and very average) and live music up there too, if you’re into that. If you’re after the best view and a whole lot of fun, I highly recommend booking in to walk/climb to the very top of the building!
Rhianon EllisJun 7, 2018
Beautiful views and definitely something you should do when in surfers paradise. It is a little pricey to go up but it is worth it. Spend a bit of time up the top enjoying the views with a drink or a bite to eat to make the price worth it!
Jess DownhamJun 8, 2018
The worse review I have ever given but justifiable due to our incredibly poor experience in attempting to have the breakfast buffet. Staff urgently need training in how to manage peak periods. No systems for host staff to accommodate the restaurant when it’s at capacity, kitchen could not keep up with servicing the buffet once we were eventually seated, dirty tables not being cleaned. The list goes on. Had it not been busy we would still be disappointed by the lack of buffet options for the price paid. If you want to experience the view, it was sensational. Just go else where for food options!
