It's now a boring, chaotic jumble of stuff at best - just crammed into rooms haphazardly. Unless you count the "fancy updates" 😂 The original was better. Also a lot of original stuff got recycled for their cringe-worthy "band" at the front and oh dear god that looped music will will drive you crazy! There's no bathroom facilities so go before you enter because the exit can take AGES to reach. I also wish you luck with parking ANYWHERE!

I remember loving it as a kid, so on a rainy day suggested we go as a family. I read reviews from people that said it was “great for the kids.” My kids are 5 & 2...they were too freaked out by the eerie feel to it, we were in and out within 30mins . I may take them if they ask when they’re older but for us our money would have been better spent somewhere else.

Kids enjoyed this place! The lazer room was a hit, even for me at 33 years old. My kids enjoyed the dancing room, all of the facts and just how much of a different experience it was for them, they found it educational, interactive and fun at the same time. The scream box had us all gasping, and i could never figure out how to open that gate!! The staff were friendly! The set up is easy to navigate! I used a groupon and I found it to be well worth the money. We took over a hour and a half in there and we took sooo many photos. Great experience.

Was a fun little experience. Interesting facts inside. Would love if there were more interactive zones in there as they were good.

Totally enjoyed this! Always come here when visiting and never disappointed in the things on display (even the ones I've seen before). It is pricey but it's also amazing. A must see if you are visiting the Gold Coast.

A fun and interesting time! Curios and quirks from around the world, and many interactive displays. Plenty of activities for the younger members of your group, and all breakables or dangerous items are secured. Bypasses for the laser quest and nausea-inducing spinning tunnel were appreciated by the elderly members of our group, but the kids loved them! All in all something interesting for all and opportunities for some weird and wonderful photos abound. Be it a human achievement, practice, craft, or appearance, you'll find something interesting here.

Wonderful! Surfers needs more places like this, good fun for people of all ages. Really enjoyed how interactive some of the exhibits were, and the ones that weren't were still exciting in their own ways. I got a little annoyed at how obnoxious some of the kids were, but you shouldn't really go to something like this without forgiving all the overstimulated little kids bouncing off the walls. Props to all the parents who were doing their best to keep them under control.

This was a bit of fun, plenty to take in and some interactive parts. It isn't scary but kids will be thrilled and there is more than enough strange things to look at. It takes about 30 minutes to an hour to complete depending on if you are planning on stopping and reading all the information. One of the highlights is the stairway in!

Lovely and helpful staff but the place is overpriced, overrated and extremely disappointing. Years ago it was much bigger and had a lot more. Now it's tired, old and just doesn't have a lot to see.

The place is much bigger than first expected, great setups and exhibits. Ideal for for everyone to visit. Has plenty of intractable spots as well.

A bit of fun for the family, and lots of very odd items. Some things are amazing, others are a bit creepy. Although there are no toilets, as mentioned by other visitors, there are public toilets directly across the street, and staff were very happy for me to take my son and then re- enter.

A lot of stuff I didn't believe - but I guess that's the point! A lot of wax figures. Cool illusions. Musical stairs and the lazer room were pretty awesome. For the price, it was pretty good.

I've been here three times and every time I find something new and exciting! I love the weird twists on the idea of a traditional museum. There's a fair bit of reading if you want to get the most out of it (like any other museum) but it's much more interesting than your standard historical or archaeological finds. Mr Ripley was a bit of a weirdo. In a good way.

A very fun and entertaining museum, which is a lot bigger than you think from the outside (took us maybe an hour and a half to walk through). If you like to learn weird facts about different cultures and people through history this is definitely the place. Plus it's entertaining for both parents and children, with numerous fun games throughout the exhibition.

Great place to visit. Gives an awesome insight into various and really weird things. They also have interactive areas which are really great. Really really good museum with caring and friendly staff. Will surely be back again.

Good place to take the kids. Although it is a little bit small. There is however a lot to see. There are lots of things to keep the kids entertained. They might get a bit scared in the shrunken heads exhibition, if they are younger kids.
