The Double Tree in Orlando at Universal never disappoints. I am amazed by the consistency of the high level of service, cleanliness, and the friendly attitude of the staff on each visit. This our family’s home away from home and other hotels. Very relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are large and modern, The beds are so comfortable you just want to sleep and nap all day. The parks are close and shopping is a few blocks away, The pool is deep, not a wading pool as is the case of the neighboring hotels. The pool bar is low key and entertaining. The service makes this hotel stand out. The staff is always there when needed. We will return soon. One more thanks to the housekeeping staff for keeping not only the room clean and the daily service, but the common areas are always being maintained and cleaned as well.
Room was nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Room did get quite warm before the A/C would kick on and it was a bit noisy going on and off. Other than that it was a decent place to stay. Conveniently located close to Universal Resort and has a free shuttle to the park, but is easily within walking distance. It was a short trip so couldn't check out much of the amenities.
Haven't stayed here in a couple of years... lots of upgrades, lobby is great, rooms are fresh. Food is definitely a highlight. Courtyard awesome (depending on the weather, of course). Full Starbucks is a bonus. Recommended!!
