The Knockagh Monument is a war memorial in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is located on top of Knockagh Hill, above the village of Greenisland with a panoramic view of the city of Belfast.
The site is 390m (1230 feet) above sea level and is the largest war memorial in Northern Ireland. The monument is a 110-foot (34Â m)-high basalt obelisk and is a replica of the Wellington Monument in Phoenix Park, Dublin, although is exactly half the height.
Views from Belfast all the way down to near Whitehead, best time for a visit is a very sunny day!

Cycled from home to Knockagh Monument 10 .2 miles, was a hard push going, though easier returning. The view is amazing and well worth the effort, which is nothing compared to what the brave men whom the Monument is there to commemorate went through. We Will Remember Them.

Sad to see this magnificent memorial site littered with bottles and paper. A bit of extra care needed here.

Beautiful panoramic views. The monument is well maintained and has its own car park - not recommended during dark hours!
