The Marktkirche St. Georgii et Jacobi (Market Church of Sts. George and James), commonly known as Marktkirche ("The Church on the Marketplace"), is the main Lutheran church in Hanover, Germany. It was built in the 14th century and, together with the nearby Old Town Hall, is considered the southernmost example of the North German brick gothic (norddeutsche Backsteingotik) architectural style. The roof and the vaults of the naves were destroyed in an air raid in 1943 and restored in 1952.

Wonderful restored Church in the heart of Hannover. Very humble restoration and worth a visit. Not your ornate classic style. The pipe organ is a very different sight to see. I was not fortunate to hear it. 😐 Interactive screen in the middle of the Church gives you pictures of before and after. In English too.
A quiet place amidst the city
Beautiful in thought, word and deed, as well as structure. Not only is the 14th century building awe-inspiring, the lengths to which they strove to restore it after WWII are admirable.
Another dull church in Hanover, if you like interesting churches go somewhere else.
Cool church, a lot of info to read there which could be and is interesting
Really nice to, I can feel a lot of comfort here because of the warm colored brick structure, and also there is a really beautiful gold gilded niche
I like it good for view and to take photo
14th Century Lutheran Church built in Brick Gothic architectural style. Right opposite the Old Town Hall.
Very spectacular! In the temple is the organ.
