Linnanmäki (Swedish: Borgbacken, colloquially Lintsi, lit. 'Castle Hill') is an amusement park in Helsinki, Finland. It was opened on 27 May 1950 and is owned by non-profit Lasten Päivän Säätiö (Children's Day Foundation), which operates the park in order to raise funds to Finnish child welfare work. In 2019, the foundation donated a total of 4.5 million euros.
Great little amusement park close to city centre. You can take an 'all you can ride' bracelet or a one time ticket. I love taking a visiting friend up to the free fall tower to have a beautiful view over the city before getting the adrenaline rush. Also great amusement park foods. Unfortunately closed in winter.
I didn't plan to visit this spot during my one day spree in Helsinki, but apparently it was worthed! Only tried the rides for free (you can ofc purchase the all-rides-entry bracelet) but the place itself was lovely. I had a bit scary experience though. Didn't know at that time there was a scary hour so I got trapped in a corner by staffs with very realistic ghosts make up 😂😂
Maybe the best known amusement park in Finland. For a reason. They have retained old good and well-known rides and also provided new ones. The park has all features of an amusement park, but the park area is not very large and is therefore good for a group or a family with small children. There are a few restaurants, for both quick snacks and a la carte menus as well. The park is situated in Alppila and there are good tram and bus connections. Pasila railway station is about 1,2 km and Helsinki Central railway station about 2,5 km from the park.
Every summer I go there with my children and wife, kind of tradition. Park is very clean and grill's and such are plenty. And it is allowed to take your own food there. So if you want to save some on food expenses it's possible. Last remark would be that the park is very safe too, never have encountered any disturbances.
So much fun! Tried almost every ride, really worth it :D especially since you can go later in the day and get a discount :)
The place is quiet and lovely😎🙂but I think the entrance cost is a bit high😕
Great amusement park, highly recommend for family visits. A lot of attractions for different ages from adults to babies. Also a lot of cafes around. Daily bracelet is worth buying. 5+ stars!
I was there some days ago, and I felt so comfortable about that place view, and area is the best place from Helsinki, but only one thing that I bothered me, it was about price of games and machines, prices are high and timer is literally short, I hope they read my complain note! bcz I have been in many other countries, price is quite lower than this place. thanks best regards Sarkar Rahman
Great littleish amusement park with a good location.
It's ALL FUN IN ONE PLACE! Everyone fits in. Sight seeing tours and everything. Sight seeing tour is free of charge. If don't wanna spend money but need fun, then this is where to go to. You could bring your food along or buy from the wide range. Had so much fun. Would be going back tomorrow 😊
The park is easy to reach due to its location. Several rides for kids and many free ones for toddlers. Notice that the ticket prices are the same for kids and adults, even if the kid is under 120 cm.
Fabulous amusement park! I am usually scared of rides, but they have all different rides for all ages and you must check it out! They have wheel, several rides, water ride and even one which is 66years old and is still functioning and operated manually. It is beautiful place!
The fact that you can go in for free it's a great and fair incentive to visit. One single ride costs eight euro, for seven rides you pay about 40 euro. There are many attractions so you will get for sure something of your taste.
Great fun. But there isn't too many things for kids shorter than one meter. And food quality doesn't match the prices. This is a Helsinki classic still.
€39.00 for an all day unlimited use wrist band. No too bad compared to other activities in the area.... If you're from the USA you may be familiar with Universal Studios or Disney where the rides have long queues and long waits.... Not the case here.. Lines are typically short and low wait time, and the rides are great. The scary yellow monster (as my son called it) is great! Safest scare you'll ever have! The food selection here is very good.... Is the food gourmet style? No, it's an amusement park! But the variety is excellent and the taste is actually very good for "faster" style food. And the price is OK. Overall we had a great day, one of the best days during G our 2 weeks in Helsinki. But do yourself a favor and after you're done at the amusement park DO NOT MISS all of the awesome natural beauty that Finland has to offer!
Beautiful place in a good location near the city centre. Free entrance for everyone and many free rides for young kids. Tickets for the normal rides are quite expencive. There are many different places where you can eat, but they are all pretty pricey.
