There is nothing to complain about the hotel. Location is decent, conditions in rooms are good, the staff is trained, breakfast is delicious. I also liked that you have 2 restaurants where to have dinner in the hotel, a lounge, spa, and other things.
Hotel is located very far from the city center, far from metro station. Despite having such a problems, Phoenicia Grand is very nice hotel to stay in Bucharest. Breakfast is very very rich! There are not only meals typical for hotels but also meats, salads, hand-baked rolls, special bar with freshly squeezed juices like orange, banana, kiwi, etc. Ham is not just salami as usually but roast chicken! Rooms are as for Romanian standard ok but it should be better cleaned. Bathroom contains many cracked glazes and it stinks. Taxi to the OTP Airport can be paid at the reception and it costs 30 LEU. Remember that you have to use you room card (key) in the elevator in order to pick the floor button. In other case it doesn't work. Doors and walls are very thin. I heard old man snoring in the room next to mine.
Great option for a stay in Bucharest. All hotels in Bucharest have there issues as I have stayed at many. Hotel is clean and has all the ammenties you may need. Staff is over the top friendly. Would give five stars perhaps if location was better.
