Visited last year. A couple of NT workers were sprucing up the orchard. They said the Mill isn`t open yet until the cottage adjoining is renovated and let o someone that will oversee the maintenance and security.

According to NT web site 'The mill is closed for the foreseeable future for conservation reasons. We're very sorry for any inconvenience.'

Gate locked when we visited (July 2017). No sign to say why. This place is not even mentioned in the National Trust mobile app. From the road it looks delightful.

Showed up at the Mill and all there was a locked gate. We tried knocking on the house next to its door with no answer. Confused if this on someone's property or if it's public? It looks like a beautiful place to visit but I'm annoyed that I made the journey and didn't enter in fear of trespassing.
