Great little pub. we spent a few days here over new years. There were 14 of us and a dog. The staff were very friendly (one guy was a bit blunt/rude but I think that's just who he was) the general manager was a brilliant guy. Thick Irish accent and coudnt do enough for us. they put up with allot. stayed open late and didn't ask us to leave. I would recommend this place for drinks, food or a long weekend (rooms are clean, modern and in good order)
Very nice craft beers, ciders, pales & ales. Located right down the road in Newbury from Highclere Castle where the Downtown Abby series was filmed. A prestigious landmark.
Service was a little slow to start off but improved. It's a nice environment with a decent selection on the menu. Food was very good, a decent portion size and nicely presented. Online booking was convenient with a quick response. Price was reasonable for the quality of food in this part of the world. Will happily visit again. Oh the coffee was really good as well.
