Really enjoyed the Art Museum not only the paintings but the beautiful architecture. Three separate buildings offering a variety of art, sculpture, ancient artifacts and featured displays. Don't miss visiting the pretty lil cafe for a cool drink and snack

A good collection of Vietnamese paintings and old sculptures, but no air con so a bit sweaty. 30,000 per person. A very nice Cafe there meant we spent 2 hours or so including a coffee break.

This museum has 3 buildings. Each of building has a many arts and paintings. And the last one has a old contemporary fine arts. You can spend your time on this museum. Enterance fee is 30.000vnd. If you like contemporary fine arts, you wil really enjoy. Th first building is biggest one, has a beautiful intermular passageway on every floor.

It's extremely hot in there during daytime. Most of the paintings are contemporary, dated 1970th or later. Building is very nice

Beautiful building with many artworks. 3 buildings in total. Easy to spend a few hours wandering around and could be in one of many countries in the world with the architecture.

Very beautiful artworks in this museum. Definitely worth seeing. And the building is beautiful too. An old, large yellow French building. It does not have air conditioning inside. So I recommend going early in the morning when it opens to avoid being too hot when you’re in there.

The museum is located in a beautiful, though well worn, 1930s mansion with a nice inner courtyard and a functioning wooden cable-pulled elevator set in the middle of the central stairway. The art in the main building is all 20th century, mostly works of socialist realism with a smattering of abstract stuff. It is a bit warm inside, but the louvered windows make it shady and cozy.

This is the place to be for all the Art lovers. One can admire the art, understand the Vietnam War and their history through the paintings. I'm sure anyone would be amazed by looking at the various innovative painting styles.

The place is kind of run down. No humidity and temperature control for the pieces. No explanations. Lack of topic variety. Good number of restrooms.

I've been here twice (a few years apart) and I really enjoy the varied art styles. It is also a nice respite from the noice and traffic while still being centrally located.

There are 3 buildings. 90% of the first 2 buildings are about war, while if i were interested in war i would have come to the war museum. The 3rd building is the most interesting. It contains most old sculptures and home objects

Ho chi Minh City Fine Arts museum was established in 1987. The 3 buildings of the museum refelcting the city's rich French colonial heritage are works of art themselves. Not crowded (at least on the day I visited) at all it gives you ample chance to witness the beauty of the museum and its exhibits with great leisure. The works displayed in the contemporary art section are heavily influenced by the Vietnamese struggle against the French and Americans. The revolutionary flavour is everywhere. Also the daily lives in the Indo China is beautifully depicted. The Vietnamese heritage of lacquer painting is main attraction in terms of the art form. Also almost all rooms exhibit one sculpture often a leading contributor to Vietnamese indepndence or the art movement ... which really moves the visitor.

Art lovers, you should come here once. It's a pretty old building with massive collections of paintings and tiles! The flooring is made of pretty tiles and the hypnotic staircase will be the highlight. You need at least 2-3 hours to spend here. Unfortunately, the cafes are not open when I'm there.

Great job here!!! It is really complete you have two floors with art before 1975 where you could see art and french influence before the war and the another after 1975 so you could learn history thru they art. Also the have a good open spot with a coffe shop plus few galleries around (one of these is a special galery in wich you can learn how to meditate!!!) They have workshop for those who want learn about paint or just chill for a while with friends. HARDLY RECOMMEND TO POP IN IT! It is a MANDATORY stop.

It's a lovely art museum. Definitely see it if your in town. As an expat I've gone twice, there isn't much change from one to the other visits; it's just nice to get some art culture.
