Poor tasting, very high-cost "Iced Tea" cocktail. Worse still the bar manager threatened to get "security" over our bill when we said it was wrong - seems the early 2-for-1 offer isn't as stated. Never had such an entrenched response from any manager. I will mail the hotel separately. So avoid this place as there are much nicer and relaxed bars elsewhere.

Amazing 5 Star Luxury Hotel at a good price Stayed here for 4 nights in the executive room with complimentary access to the lounge. Furthermore, all executive guests gets free laundry of 2 pieces daily. Interior is more traditional here with wooden floorings and traditional wall designs. Food for breakfast is generally OK but selection is poorer as compared to Caravelle Hotel. Plus points: Toilets are amazingly huge here!

I went to the cocktail bar at this hotel which is situated on the top floor and is uncovered in parts giving fantastic views of the colourful streets below. It was the Hotel used by American journalists during the Vietnam war for briefings. Good choice of cocktails if slightly pricey. There was a band playing and a relaxed feeling to the place. Enjoyed my visit there.would recommend.

Enjoyed a great long weekend stay here with my wife. The hotel is in an excellent location for exploring HCMC and you can walk to many places of interest right from the front door. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I really liked the rooftop bar which has a wonderful view of the City Hall. Great for sunset photos! I would recommend upgrading to a suite so that you have an outside facing window and more space. It wasn't that much more expensive.

Very good hotel. Good service. Good food. Nice and polite staff and good service. Well maintained hotel. Very clean. Book your room much in advance to get a good discount.

Very central location. Drinks expensive but great view from the rooftop bar. Staff friendly. Our room was on 5th floor near pool, dining room and rooftop bar. Only downside was shower did not get very hot. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay.

Location 10/10 but it’s a fast slide downhill from there. Perhaps the Rex Saigon was once the place to be, not anymore, it does however ooze potential for a radical update. Staff are friendly, helpful but much is lost in translation. Room comfortable to a good 3 Star standard. Breakfast buffet serves the usual full compliment in addition to Phò, but presentation is far from elegant. The Roof Top Bar is huge, stop for a beer or a cocktail although there’re many better places in this buzzing city. The pool and gym are tired like the rest of this grand old concrete rabbit warren.

This is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are big and full of character with hard wood floors and furniture and pictures of old Saigon everywhere. The breakfast buffet is the best I have seen.

I’ve stayed at Rex Hotel twice now and loved it both times! During my most recent stay, I stayed in a suite! The suite had a very large bathroom, another smaller bathroom, a living area with couches and a bedroom. Rex Hotel had great customer service. It is centrally located. I highly recommend staying at Rex Hotel. Note that at the time of this review, there is a lot of construction because the metro train stations are being built and there is a stop right in front of Rex Hotel.
