Quiet, calm, and peaceful. Especially compared to the cathedral on the rock (of which there is a great view from here)
Incredible views, especially of the Rock of Cashel. Be sure to read the story of the abbey at the entry sign. Park at the Rock car park for 4.50 Euros and walk here, because there is no parking allowed.
A great place to climb about in sight of the Rock. The kids had so much fun exploring here.
Beautiful place and kept rely well, my son lover going there but I think its mostly the cows he enjoys 😂.
Loved this stop! So fun just walking around these ruins. Easy to get to from the road. Would recommend taking a picture of the "floorplan" at the entrance gate before you go over so that you can reference it to know which rooms you would be standing in. Neat cemetery within it as well.
What a beautiful place! These ruins are free to walk around and inside, and were completely empty when we went. We parked near the Rock of Cashel and walked down to the Abbey. As I said, it was empty so we got lots of great pictures. We even came back for the sunset and just parked directly in front of the gate of the abbey. Highly recommended
Nice place. Free access. The thing I liked most was that there was nobody to tell me not to climb on things, and I could get quite high. The photographers in my family liked the awesome view of the Rock of Cashel at sunset.
