Central Plaza is a 78-storey, 374 m (1,227 ft) skyscraper completed in August 1992 at 18 Harbour Road, in Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. It is the third tallest tower in the city after 2 International Finance Centre in Central and the ICC in West Kowloon. It was the tallest building in Asia from 1992 to 1996, until the Shun Hing Square in neighbouring Shenzhen was built. Central Plaza surpassed the Bank of China Tower as the tallest building in Hong Kong until the completion of 2 IFC.
It is the most elegant and tasteful commercial building in the vicinity with big and beautiful paintings and lightings even the lamp shades are very chic looking. A baby grand piano in the lobby is such a nice taste. Unfortunately today's weather is full of smogs and the glare from the sun resulting in very poor photo lightings and effects from the observation deck. It's a hidden jewl in the city for such a tranquil and 360 degrees great harbour view. Best of all it is free of charge!
Good lookout on 45th or 46th floor. Nice building in a great location.
Great place to get free views over Hong Kong from the 46th floor observation deck.
You don't need an access pass for a great view - on weekdays, take the lifts from the lobby to the 46th floor (it's free and you don't need office access passes) - on the 46th floor you can walk around the lift change lobby which has a wide perimeter and floor to ceiling windows from which you can see to four sides of Hong Kong. Spectacular, and best of all, free! It's not really a tourist destination so it's not advertised - but I highly recommend it.
This is a commercial building. don't think it is a shopping mall. It is closed by the Wan Chai Expo view of the sea if you are upstairs
