Hong Kong Disneyland (Chinese: 香港迪士尼樂園) (local nickname HKDL; also known as HK Disneyland) is a theme park located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island. It is located inside the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and it is owned and managed by Hong Kong International Theme Parks. It is the largest theme park in Hong Kong, followed by Ocean Park Hong Kong. Hong Kong Disneyland was opened to visitors on Monday, 12 September 2005 at 13:00 HKT. Disney attempted to avoid problems of cultural backlash by incorporating Chinese culture, customs and traditions when designing and building the resort, including adherence to the rules of feng shui. Notably, a bend was put in a walkway near the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort entrance so good qi energy would not flow into the South China Sea.
The park consists of seven themed areas: Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, and Toy Story Land. The theme park's cast members speak Cantonese, English and Mandarin. Guide maps are printed in traditional and simplified Chinese as well as English.

This was the first Disneyland I have been to, so I have no experience to make a comparison with the Disneyland at other places. This place is pretty good for the kids. If you are a couple who likes to roam around amongst kiddish places and rides, you would like this place. If you are looking to have an adrenaline rush from the rides then you'll be disappointed. The parade at 4 o'clock is too good to miss. Also the night parade is equally good. However this place is still under development. The palace is still under construction. Less food options for people looking for Indian cuisines. You will have a good time for a day but if you are a fan of Disneyland then it's better to buy a 2 day ticket because it's not possible to cover everything in one day. If you are in Hong Kong and have time, you should definitely go for it.

Full of enjoyment with family and kids. This is a memorable place to spend your precious time. Even we feel short of time considering the activities here and entertainment. Very live and loving place with a fresh environment. If you catch right season to go there then it will really be worth to go and enjoy.

Disneyland was great fun. I went with my family and we had a great time. The rides such as Grizzly Gulch and Hyperspace Mountain. They give a thrilling experience. The 'It's a Small World' is also one of my favourite because it shows all the different cultures of the world. As for the food, I would say it is very expensive. I had to pay $109 for some chicken wings. The staff are usually polite. And the toilets are good quality. Although, at around 3PM to 6PM, the lines are ridiculous. I had to wait one hour for the RC Racer ride and for the Grizzly Gulch. Around 8PM the line for Hyperspace Mountain was around 25 minutes which was much better than what it was.

Many new themes are installed since my last visit in 2015. There's more fun now than three years ago. Show in the magic book theater is surprisingly entertaining, runs half an hour, after waiting half an hour, allows taking pictures and videos while some Disneylands in other cities do not allow.

Alot of awesome attractions and activities for kids. Some good places to eat and when the queues are short it can be fantastic. The park lacks a little bit in terms of attractions for adults. If you love Disney then you'll love it for sure.

Two words: Mystic Manor. If you are a Disney fan, this single attraction is worth the trip from wherever you live in the world. Incredible. Beyond Mystic Manor, the park has a few other unique and noteworthy attractions such as Big Grizzly Mountain, Iron Man, and a very unique and exciting take on the Jungle Cruise. It’s a relatively small Disney Park, but it comes with generally light crowds which is a nice change of pace from all of Disney’s other worldwide resorts. With time, and especially after the current expansion concludes, I’m sure it will be packed like all the others.

Great park. We visited over 2 days to truly see & do everything. Staff are great at taking pictures of you with the characters. Not too packed & crazy like other Disney parks. Lines for rides were short. Can't wait to come back!

We visited Hong Kong Disneyland during Christmas time and was able to see all the decorations and shows to match that time of year. It was a great visit and your typical Disney park. We only spent a day there and it was plenty of time to see and do everything that we wanted. This Disneyland is smaller than some of the other parks so you can spend a day there and not miss anything for the most part. Variety of food choices and the food was not bad either. We recently visited the one in Shanghai and the Hong Kong one in my opinion is run better than the Shanghai Disneyland.

What a great experience Hong Kong Disneyland is for both children and adults! Lots of great shows and rides to enjoy. Nonstop entertainment from 9am to 9pm. They have several parades during the day and a light show at 8 to close up the day! Totally worth your money. Lots of food options to keep you energized during the day. Clean facilities and friendly staff. 👌🏼

Fine place to spend with family. But on the day I went, some of rides where not functional. A theme park with Disney characters. For picture with the characters, there is always huge rush and need to wait. Same case with many rides. Final parade with Disney characters were good though.

I always love theme parks! Especially the crazy rides and the colorful place. I would recommend the Big Grizzly Mountain ride! Sooooooo fun 😁😁😁 you should go here early to experience every ride and to avoid a long queue. You would want to bring an umbrella or a cap just to protect yourself from the sun 😉 of course, you shouldn't miss the fireworks display, majestic! Enjoy kid at heart!

This place is an experience of a lifetime. It took around 3 days to completely explore the park. The rides are awesome. Especially they got Iron-man area and it is a candy-land literally. The Toy-story area is superb. All the people need to get in and out on time. There are Disney characters at the time of breakfast in Hotel. The main attraction was the photo booth and photo pass system that was followed at the breakfast table in Hotel and at the Disneyland park. They got great food in the walk down street and collectibles at the very entrance of the park. Last but not the least - The great Disney parade march of all Disney characters (there was Lightning McQueen) and mind-boggling fireworks after that just made the day :) . All the parents especially Indian parents must take their kids to this place once in life.

Like stepping into a dream. Everything and everyone was expertly crafted and trained. A magical kingdom of thrills, fun, intrigue and smiles. Absolutely loved it. Couldn't stop smiling. It's not massive, you can do the whole park in a day or two, but definitely not small. Needs some water rides. Needs more merchandise on the Disney side of stores. Aside from that, a life experience of note.

Taking into account that this is the world's smallest Disney park, and it won't have as many rides and attractions,it's still worth a day of your time. The park is immaculate and has a beautiful backdrop of the mountains and has a charm of it's own. There is some building work going on at the moment as they are constantly improving. The runaway mine train is better than big thunder mountain at other parks and Mystic Manor is a refreshing change from the Haunted mansion. A great day out and getting here from Hong Kong airport on local buses costs around around £4 each way.

Wonderful theme park. So many things to do, so many unique attractions, and so much fun to be had. Great food too. However at peak hours the queues are really long and sometimes it takes over an hours to get to an activity that lasts only a few minutes.

One of the smallest Disney Parks I've ever been to, but one of the most clean and beautiful one I have ever had experienced. Mountains and ocean-views all around, with some of the most classic rides and new shows put together in a quaint location. If I lived in Hong Kong, I would definitely purchase a year-long pass.

Good for kids. Various attractions. Good cleanliness and best services from all staffs. Need good body fitness and energy to enjoy various attraction. Easy to be reached from everywhere with Public and Private transportation. Crowded during week end or holiday seasons.

Extraordinary experience, loved every minute of it. This is not our first Disneyland, and by far the best. Very clean, great hotels, not too crowded, with superb food selection reasonably priced, and not too Disney, as some of them maybe. Will definitely come back, as we really enjoyed it.

Not quite as sprawling as the original Disney World, this is nevertheless a satisfying destination for families who love revelling in the Disney magic. Spot your favourite Disney characters and go on some innovative rides. Lots of meal options available, but do not expect to be wowed. The night parade is a nice ending to a long day of endless queuing for rides. Wear comfortable footwear and try to avoid weekends if you can.

Won't give it a perfect score for now, but it's definitely on it's way to become one of the best Disney parks ever, With the transformation of the castle, a Marvel Land, and a Frozen land being on their way. Even today it has exclusive attractions you won't find anywhere! Like Iron Man Experience and Mystic Manor, which quite possibly is one of the best dark rides ever. The shows like Mickey and the Wondrous book are also a definite must experience. HKDL is simply one of the most magical experience I've had and it's only gonna get better!!

One of the best theme parks I have ever visited. You can enjoy for 6 to 7 hours without getting bored. There are a lot of amusement rides. The rides and gardens are well maintained. There are rights for every age group, be it children or adults. Had a great time with my family in Disneyland!!!
Om Prakash Bharthuar | Jul 12, 2018
Fabulous place. A place worth enjoying for not only for kids but adult as well. There is a toy train, fabulous rides and shows. Many a picture perfect places you can find there. The whole place is fragmented into different categories and you can choose the one depending on your like. Tip: Book tickets online as it will be cheaper. Also, if time permits, you can take two day tickets. There is a resort inside. Live there if your pocket allows to enjoy this place at the fullest.

It is full day fun in Disneyland. Those who are coming to Hong Kong, must visit this place for entertainment and enjoyment. Please don't visit public holiday, Sat and Sunday, as usual it is aways rush, you will not be enjoy all rides on these days. In side the resort, there are restaurant for veg and non veg food. Visiting there is always memorable. It is outside of city but taxi and bus service is good. Those who want to use Metro, they have to follow with metro map.

Disney is a worldwide brand and this park is a beautiful addition. The hotels are fabulous and the service is equal to any of the best in the world. The restaurants have a varied menu but you are sure to find many things that you will love. The park is very clean and offers a lot of familiar Disney rides and amenities. Hong Kong Disney is an awesome family stop on any trip to Asia. Enjoy!!

A lot of fun adventure rides and range of food. I recommend the Hyperspace mountain, Its a small world, Pooh bear and the mine cars. Photo ops with characters. I don't regret it.
