Victoria Peak is a hill on the western half of Hong Kong Island. It is also known as Mount Austin, and locally as The Peak. With an elevation of 552 metres (1,811 ft), it is the highest hill on Hong Kong Island, ranked 29 in terms of elevation in Hong Kong. It is a major tourist attraction offering views of Central, Victoria Harbour, Lamma Island and the surrounding islands.
The summit of Victoria Peak is occupied by a radio telecommunications facility and is closed to the public. The surrounding area of public parks, tourist facilities and high-value residential land is the area that is normally meant by the name The Peak. The Peak also refers to Victoria Peak itself and its nearby areas, including Victoria Gap, Mount Kellett and Mount Gough. Sometimes Bowen Hill may also be included.

This is the spot to go if you want gorgeous views of Hong Kong’s skyline. However, there isn’t anything up here aside from two malls with an unimpressive selection of stores. Two quick tips: 1. Take the bus up and the tram down (the bus is significantly cheaper and the tram will be like a roller coaster on the way down) 2. If you need to use the bathroom head to the mall across the way from the tram building unless you prefer toilets that are in the ground

Amazing viewpoint of the skyline of Hong Kong! You should definitely check out this place, it is stunning at night. There is also a nice light show at 8pm. The place is really crowded so it's pretty hard to find a good spot for pictures.

I loved the night view. The place was super crowded. Only 1 restrooms with 4 rooms available for women, so really long queue. Be careful of pickpockets! My friend lost her wallet just while taking photos!

Stunning views. Go early! Head to Victoria peak team station and take the tram up. Lines get crazy long later in the day. It drops you off into a mall (I know, more malls). The tram ticket gets you free entry to the viewing at the top of the mall. After the mall - go outside the mall (don’t take the tram back down) and take a hike up the hill to Victoria Peak! Halfway up is Victoria Peak Garden.

The views are awesome. The Cable car trip up alone ones quite worth it. There is a lot of shops when you are up there from where you can enjoy the same view while eating and drinking.

Great place to unwind for any occasion. Plenty of restaurants around, shops and specialty shops with nice gimmicks for locals and tourists alike. Great starting point to walk around the peak, the shortest way is less one hour. End station of the Peak Tram. Otherwise plenty of alternative transportation on hand including payable car park. The Peak has to be part of your bucket list. Recommended.

Absolutely amazing. A must see if in or near Hong Kong. Best to see night and day, but the night view blew me away. I spent 2.5 years in Asia, & the night I went up the peak & saw greater Hong Kong from this vantage point is almost otherworldly. In other words, one of the most amazing things I saw. Top 3, definitely!!!

If you had to pick 1 place to see in Hong Kong, this would be my #1 spot to see!!! There is a fee to take the tram up to the peak; however, you can take a taxi or drive to the peak. There is a mall of several stores, the best place to get souvenirs is the gift shop on top of the peak after get off the tram, it is more reasonably priced then in the city, there are historical sights, and an observation deck to take in and view the most spectacular skyline of the city. Hong Kong is beautiful! Especially at night! Take your time - you do not want to rush the sights. Once you view the observation deck, stroll down the paths and streets to your left and explore the temple and sights of Hong Kong!

One of the best vantage points in Hong Kong. Also, there are a number of walking trails to explore around. Can get REALLY hot in the summer, so best to go early morning or evening. Great opportunities to take photos, so carrying a tripod up may not be a bad idea!

One of the most scenic view of Hong Kong skyline comes from the best location of Hong Kong- the Victoria peak sky tower. Located at the top of the mountain, the peak give you the sublime view of the skyline. And the best part is the tram ride , a steep one it is, to reach to the top. Personally speaking, a view at the night from this location is worth to watch. This building also hosts the madam tussads museum and some really good restaurants. The tour will definitely keep you busy for half a day. You need to reach the central station and it’s a 10 minutes walk from there. A klook app Booking is a good deal and money saver.

I'm sure the cable car is nice but the lines were way too long in the heat. Share/take a cab with some other people and get to the top so much faster and easier. Don't waste an hour if your day in line.m Greats from the cheap cab ride too! You can always cab it down as well or take the cache carry one way. Great views from the top. Nice walking trails. Lots in the little shopping mall. A definite must see in Hong Kong.

I spent 2.5 years in Asia, & the night I went up the peak & saw greater Hong Kong from this vantage point is almost otherworldly. In other words, one of the most amazing things I saw. Top 3, absolutely. FYI, if you fly into Hong Kong's airport, night or day - pay attention - the high rise structures and buildings standing strong & jutting out of mountains & various islands is also quite amazing to see, as well. Flying into Hong Kong - let's just say I was extremely captivated from the get-go. P.S. - Be prepared for crazy humidity and heat, especially in summer. However, it is SOOO worth it!!!!

If you come to Hong Kong and do not visit here, you are missing out on one of the best views of any city on the planet! Take the Peak Tram for the full experience as it traverses at crazy steep angles on the way to the top. Once on top take the wrap around trail that will give you amazing views of the bay.

This is the highest mountain in Hong Kong and can be accessed via car or you can also walk up the peak. There’s high scale residential (extremely wealthy accommodation) up there as well as some shops, cafes and restaurants and lookouts. It offers breathtaking views of all of Hong Kong. We got a cab up and made the big walk down where we got to the mid-levels area.
