You can hear the chirping birds before you actually get to the bird garden. I entered by the flower market street after walking down it. It's at the end of the street with signs so it is hard to miss. The garden has a few areas to sit and to look out onto the city. As you head into the market you see all the things you would need if you were wanting a bird including cages, insects and the birds themselves. There is quite a large range of different birds on sale. The market area isn't too big so it was easy to circle a few times. The entrance on Boundary Road by the Mongkok Stadium goes straight into the market area. Quite an interesting stop.

A must-see for tourists due to the historical and cultural aspect but the bird stores seemed to border on animal cruelty. The main walkway where the locals hang their bird cages up for the birds to sing is very beautiful. However, the stores selling birds around the corner have cages filled to the brim with birds.

Historical as well as still active all things 🐦 bird. From cages, feeds and live birds for sale. The crawlers from hair fine to pinky size aren't for the fainty hearts. Great for a short walk if you are in the neighborhood.
